This promotion offers a 10% discount on list price, in addition to One Path pricing for trading
in qualifying competitive Storage arrays products through the HPE Trade-In program when
qualifying HPE Flash Arrays and Disk Back Up Systems are sold.
When you qualify for the Storage Flash Trade In Accelerator promotion, in addition to the 10%
discount on the HPE Flash Array or Disk Back Up System, you additionally get an incremental 5%
discount over and above Discount Now Price Programs on ALL other HPE Storage HW and SW
SKUs on the order (See Eligible Product table below).
Refer to the Qualifying Products table below for details on eligible HPE Storage systems and eligible
competitive trade in systems. Refer to Qualifying Drives table below for details on qualifying SSD

Timeframe
This promotion is effective from Feb 1, 2016 to April 30, 2016. To qualify for the promotional discount, eligible
products must be quoted and ordered within the designated promotional period.

Solution Benefit approval on the deal is required in order to qualify for this promotion.
This promotion requires that eligible products be traded in in order to receive the promotional discount on
the new Storage solution. Please see the Trade In Process sections below for Trade In details.
This promotion may NOT be used for Renew product.
There are no maximum quantity restrictions.
The M07 promotional discount is to be applied to all eligible Hardware and Software LTUs.
The promotional discount is intended to be passed through in full to the reseller.
This promotional offer may NOT be combined with any other promotion or be used on the same order with
another promotion.
Escalated Special Pricing may NOT be combined with this offer.
Agent Compensation orders are not eligible.
Customer Purchase Agreement Discounts and other Discounts such as GEM, WSCA, etc. are not eligible
for this promotion and may not be combined with this promotion.
The promotional discount is to be entered at the time of order entry and it must be entered as an
(M07/Y07) in Watson.

1) Partner submits One Path registration.
2) Customer Initiates the Trade In Process and obtains a Trade in Quote Number.

Market Velocity will respond with an email within eight (8) hours with the Trade in Quote Number. Note, this
email is not a full quote request, it signifies acknowledgement by the customer that they have and will trade
in eligible equipment to satisfy the promotion requirement.

3) Customer sends confirmation email with the Trade in Quote Number to Partner. Partner forwards to
Distributor together with quote request. This confirmation email authorizes Distributor to apply
promotional discount to quote.

The Distributor must receive the confirmation email and confirm that the Trade in Quote Number email is
tied to the same end customer opportunity as the One Path registration. If so, the Distributor can apply the
promotional discounts to the eligible quote and order.
4) Customer Purchases new eligible Storage Product
5) Once Customer is Ready to Return their old trade in equipment, they obtain an actual Trade in Quote
and Complete the Trade In Process:
• Once the trade in equipment is ready to ship back, Customer contacts Market Velocity at
hpcustomstorage@marketvelocity.com referencing their quote number, to initiate the actual trade-in quote.
It can take between 3-4 business days to generate a quote. The quote will be valid for 30 days and must be
accepted, and returned together with a copy of the new product purchase invoice within 30 days.

Example Trade in Quote:

The old product must be shipped to HPE / Market Velocity Inc (MVI) within 120 days of the date of order of
the new Storage product, whether the trade in quote has value or not. If the Trade-In quote has value that
is extra money to the end customer in addition to this promotional benefit. HPE will pay shipping costs
provided the customer purchases qualifying new HPE Storage equipment.
•
If the HPE Trade-In quote is for a zero dollar value due to no secondary market demand for the product,
then the customer must still return the signed quote to initiate the free shipping and recycling. The old
product must be shipped to HPE / MVI within 120 days of the date of order of the new Storage product in
order to take advantage of the free recycling offered as part of this promotion.

HPE will audit all promotional claims to validate that trade in equipment was returned or recycled. If
the old equipment is not returned to HPE / MVI within 120 days of the date of order of the new
Storage product then HPE reserves the right to restrict the participating Channel Partner from
utilizing the promotion in any future customer opportunities.
•
If the customer is concerned with ensuring the safety of the data stored on the equipment they will trade in,
send them the attached flyer with information on data security options.

Terms and Conditions
Promotion timeframe—This offer is available from Feb 1, 2016 through April 30, 2016. Products
purchased before or after the specified promotional period are not eligible. Eligible products must be quoted
and ordered within the designated promotional period to be eligible for promotional discounts.
Eligible Partners/Customers— Qualified customers purchasing from an HPE Authorized Partner with a
current U.S. Partner Agreement (PA) in place, are eligible to participate in this Promotion. ECPs will receive
(M07) discounts that will be passed on to their Authorized Partners.
Exclusions
 Promotion discount eligibility—This promotion discount is only available on the eligible products listed
under Eligible Products when minimum qualifying products from the Qualifying Products table are
purchased as required in order to receive promotional discounts.
 Customer Purchase Agreement Discounts such as GEM, WSCA, or Educational pricing are not eligible
for this Promotion and may not be combined with this promotion.
 Demo/Consignment Units—Demo/Consignment units are not eligible for this Promotion.
 Sales made to any entity outside of the U.S. are excluded from this Promotion.
Returns
Standard returns terms and conditions apply to this Promotion, unless otherwise noted.
Changes to the Promotion
 HPE may cancel or change this Promotion at any time and for any reason.
 HPE reserves the right to alter, amend or cancel this Promotion at any time without notice. HPE
reserves the right to interpret the rules of this Promotion, and all decisions made by HPE are final. The
Promotion is valid in the U.S. only.
 All other terms of the U.S. Partner Agreement and related documents apply.
