District 1080 has 135 miles of coast

A critical issue is the waste/ litter
discarded on our beaches and in
countryside – often through a lack of
awareness of the impact.

• How can District help on the initiatives in 2011 – 2012?
• We are creating a database of current and desired initiatives so
that
• We can help clubs planning new initiatives with experience
from other clubs
• Experiences can be shared and the benefits to the
Community will be greater than the sum of our individual
initiatives.
Now its over to you
• Would seminars on any of the topics covered by beneficial to
your Club or initiatives you might have with the general public?
• Using Questionnaire 2 as a guide – identify where you would
like to see help

• What other activities should District 1080 focus on?
• What particularly significant projects in
Community and Vocational Service within District
1080 should we promote?
• Are there any areas that we should encourage RIBI
to adopt for the future?
• Should we consider supporting (both financially
and through service) a single District Wide Project
for one or two years and then move on to another
one?
• Would such single larger projects have more
prominence in publicity terms?
