Workshop Coordinator: Is responsible for developing and running (minimum) twice-monthly
workshops featuring topics ranging from basic to complex maintenance, as well as information
on safe cycling practices for students who wish to cycle on campus as well as throughout Austin.
Maintain contact list and archives of successful workshops for future years. This position works
closely with the Shop Director in charge of Outreach.

Develop a workshop series on basic bicycle repairs, work with the outreach co-director
(see below) to advertise
●
Develop educational materials for campus users about cycling ethics and safety
●
Develop a workshop series focused on bicycling in a large city—potentially collaborate
with groups such as Social Cycling Austin to develop events to expose students to city
riding
●
Work creatively on other workshop ideas
●
Create facebook events/coordinate with outreach director
●
Record attendance levels at workshops (maintain sign in)
●
Archive workshop materials and contacts for continued use past 2014-15
Daily Rental Coordinator: Serves as the primary contact for rental requests and reservations, be
responsible for maintaining the Daily Rental fleet, and works closely with the Co-Director in
charge of Mechanics. Maintains rental log. Handles Waitlist

Handles Reservation Emails

Handles Cataloging of Rental forms
○ Other coordinators may rent out bikes
○ It is this individual’s job to train them appropriately on check out procedure
●
Keep Daily Rental Bikes in good condition
●
Handles keys and locks
Note: All four coordinators will be trained to rent out bikes and handling cash transactions, and
all four will be trained in mechanics basics/be present at shop hours. All must have
organizational skills and ability under pressure.
