Course Content:
Introduction to the language and culture of the Spanish-
speaking world.
Emphasis on:
vocabulary (a lot)
grammar (a lot)
speaking writing
music & culture
 By year-end:
write an essay, read texts, speak and understand
in the present
and preterite past tenses.
This is a
high school level
course.
Daily study beyond the hw is
EXPECTED
Throughout the district students take
the same Spanish finals.
 60% must be earned in Tri 1
to continue in Trimester 2.
 70% recommended to continue to
Spanish 2 next year.
Students may request high
school credit for this course
when they get to high school
Credit will not be
automatically assigned.
Liberty recommends talking
with your counselor during
junior year.
Assessments:
8-12 online assignments mostly due every Friday
As many as 50 vocab words to memorize each week.
