JOB TITLE:
Network Engineer
REPORTS TO:
Network Engineering Manager, EMEA & India
FUNCTION/DEPARTMENT:
Operations
LOCATION:
Clonakilty, West Cork, Ireland
PURPOSE:
Work as part of the European Network Engineering team with responsibility for all Network
Operations, Infrastructure and Services.
The role is based in Clonakilty, Co. Cork. There will be a certain amount of overseas travel
included for this role and a requirement for on-call duties.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:



Network Operations
Utilising your networking expertise to support the EMEA Corporate and Production
networks.
Network Expertise
Provide network expertise and subject matter experience for network and operational
project
Network Escalations
Act as an escalation point within the business to help resolve issues in a timely manner
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
3+ years’ experience in a professional Network and IT Operations support role
 CCNA/CCNP Level (Routing and Switching, Security, Wireless)
 Microsoft Certified Professional
 Network Knowledge e.g. TCPIP v4 routing.






Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
Problem resolution skills
Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines
Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
Ability and flexibility to perform all other job-related and ad-hoc duties as required
Highly Desirable:
 Citrix XenApp and Desktop Studio Administration
 VMWare ESX/vSphere administration
 Network Qualifications Cisco - CCNA/CCDA or Juniper JNCIA
 Monitoring Software e.g. Solarwinds Orion
 Cloud Technologies
