Shannon received her BFA in dance from Butler University in 1999 and a Master in Arts Degree in
Dance/Movement therapy with a minor in counseling psychology from Antioch University New England
in 2006. Shannon is an active member of the American Dance Therapy Association (ADTA) and a
Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Massachusetts. She has worked in various settings
including residential placement, school based therapy and outpatient therapy. She has worked closely with
the Department of Children and Families (DCF), the Department of Mental Health (DMH) and the
Department of Youth Services (DYS). She utilizes the expressive arts and cognitive behavioral therapy
with a humanistic approach to address various challenges, such as, trauma, mood disorders, and anxiety
disorders. She believes in developing a strong therapeutic relationship to foster an environment of healing
and growth.
