Information Technology Manager
Infinata has a server environment that hosts our own proprietary application as well as high capacity data
warehousing services. The Information Technology Manager is responsible for guiding the IT team in supporting
of this environment, as well as help improving it for anticipating future growth. A successful manager would be a
fast learner that can understand the company’s operations, in order to support it well. We are looking for a
hands-on manager that can assist in various projects as well as providing technical feedback for the team
members.
Responsibilities
The Information Technology Manager reports to the Managing Director and Chief Technology Officer. The IT
manager is expected to provide technical and hands-on leadership, guiding the IT team to achieve the following
goals:







Design and implement Infinata infrastructure
o Design with efficiency, security and maintainability in mind.
o Fully understand organizational needs in order to develop suitable solutions.
o Evaluate the impact and likelihood of potential issues. Separate real issues from noise.
o Identify the one or two areas that may experience growth pains, and design scalable solutions
for them.
Manage IT personnel
Manage IT’s operations and projects, such as
o Server provisioning and hardening
o Network design and management
o Backup and archiving design and implementation
o DR and continuity design and implementation
o Performance and security monitoring implementation
o Change control implementation
o Periodic testing of above implementations
o Workstation provisioning
Manage and participate in IT’s response to issues and alerts
Work with security officer and auditors to satisfy security requirements
Work with DBAs to come up with good solutions for new challenges
Meet with CTO monthly to set new objectives
About Infinata
Infinata has two product branches. The retail branch provides online marketing analytics to Life Sciences and
Financial Services industries. The enterprise branch provides data warehousing and analytical services to fortune
500 financial services firms. Each branch has its own requirements.
Infinata hosts about 30TB of data, with a significant amount of data flowing through the internal network daily.
Infinata’s product managers leverage our high data capabilities to design new products and solutions for our
clients, so our infrastructure needs to satisfy high data volume and security requirement.
Qualifications









Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
5+ years IT experience in enterprise and server environments
Strong experience supporting enterprise grade servers
Good Active Directory experience
Good experience with enterprise grade firewalls and switches
Good experience supporting large databases (TB+)
Good experience with security audited environment
Good experience designing backup and DR
