Students should have basic knowledge and/or understanding of beach
related vocabulary.
Flash cards used for charades.
Students will be assessed through vocabulary practice activities such as fill
in the blanks, crossword puzzles and text writing.
At 2pm, it would appear an ideal time to teach as most students have taken
their lunch. I had a good variety of activities. The flow was excellent with
the more difficult activities at the start and the more light and fun activities
towards the end. My lesson was clear and well organized. I had good
student focus and was clear and efficient in my explanations and
instructions. Students were initially quiet and nervous when it was time for
them to reply to me. I should consider arranging more pair work activities at
the start of lesson to get them to warm up quicker. Students also really
enjoyed the charades activity.

Notes
Ana was a little shy at first as she did not speak a lot
during pair work. Her level of understanding of
vocabulary and pronunciation is high intermediate. She
just needs to be more confident in her English language
ability.
Claudio was a very enthusiastic and eager learner. He
was eager to know more words than what was initially
taught. His speaking and pronunciation was high
intermediate.
Pedro is a very fast learner. He manage to catch up with
the lesson and vocabulary although he was 15 minutes
late. His pronunciation of words was good.
Herminia was very confident in expressing her views in
English. However, she has a tendency to speak in
Spanish. She did not really enjoy the activity on
charades. Her level of speaking and comprehending
English is high intermediate.
