2/3 years marketing experience, preferably within a ground breaking company who

Degree educated, preferably in English Literature
High standard of dissertation and research
Forman an artistic background

Understanding of SEO
Understanding of website building/maintaining/development

PR Liaison (and talking direct with local newspapers)

The Vision
Essentially we are looking for a brilliant Marketing Assistant / Manager to cover, manage and develop a
variety of areas within the business – we call it being the ‘voice of the company’. This covers everything
from the social media side of the company, website development, brand awareness, SEO and many more
areas.
We have opened two offices in 2011/2012 (Fulham & Chiswick), and plan to open a further two in
2014/2015. Our ultimate goal is to open fifteen offices in ten years.
Every recruit is a very important one for us, so only the best need apply - and for those that succeed, there
are no limits to progress.
The Job:
The role is varied and requires flexibility, but here is a flavour of the day-to-day duties:

News stories:

Act as “the voice of haus” market commentator
Research news stories related to property from the global market to local market.
Comment, interact and suggest stories that Jamie may want to comment on.
Send any relevant news stories to the entire company – keep them update on
current affairs as well as the property market.
Interact with journalists, reporters, industry professionals to chat about stories –
Twitter & Facebook

Promote local news and start discussions with local businesses/people/bloggers
Use Facebook & Twitter to interact

Local events:

Promote local events and show support #community – keep abreast of what is going
on. Contact any interesting local event organisers/meet for a coffee to discuss a
future sponsorship

Social Media: Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook –keeping the haus tone.


Lots of middle manning between Haus website quibbles and the website team
Edit the teams copy for property descriptions and brochure copy – and making sure
the amendments are made and proofing the website once it’s been uploaded on our
website.
Combing through the website and comparing to other agents – user friendliness
Maintenance – channel errors from client feedback and office feedback, continually
improving the look of the site.
Contacting the website team to sort out the issues, chasing them up, reminding!

Sponsored events

Maintain relationships with current event hosts (such as local schools and charities)
Depending on the offices needs, scout for more events to sponsor, meet & charm
them!
Prior to each event…organise with event host board lists, contact board contractor
and schedule in their erection & removal, launch a fun and unique competition for
children a month before the event (branding opportunities essential), write & drop
thank you letters to each sponsor board holder.
Ensure there is a strong haus presence at each event & that our legendary Jamie
Lester has air time presenting awards etc
Take lots of pictures, capturing a sense of fun. (To be edited and uploaded on to the
Haus Mates site).
Email the organiser a link to the event on the Haus Mates site. Say thank you after
the event.

Updates on whatever the different offices want to shout about/update clients about,
including “Merry Xmas” “Happy Easter” (coinciding with Graphics designer) etc etc

Event details and invites
• Competitor research

Websites, coverage, ideas, marketing campaigns, presence and client relationships.
• Brand research/development

Keeping on the buzzer with how other companies are marketing, advertising and
interacting.
Find new ways of doing stuff, new ways of presenting ourselves, new marketing
material, developing what we already have.
• Seasonal branding
As seasons change the advertising of our brand needs to match what’s going on.
From welcoming the New Year – to embracing the summertime, our visual identity
needs to reflect this.
Come up with a moodboard of ideas to bounce off our graphic designer (must
incorporate our mini haus men) remind designer that we need the images sized to
the following outlets

Upload to all outlets – mobile site, Twitter, Facebook, Zoopla, Rightmove & back of
the website.

Back of the website needs to be a different image entirely – focussing on a simple
element of the campaign ie: Autumn leaves, snowflakes, grass etc.

Decorate front of haus with white pens!

Presentation season
Research and design informative seminars (briefed by Jamie), the style of which
must reflect our brand entirely. Extensive research in to chosen subject, reviewing
with Jamie before beginning the presentation.
Topics may include Budget 2014, market overview for each respective office, trend
reports
• SEO work

Speak with SEO with bi weekly reports – schedule regular phone
calls/skypes/conference call - Jamie included
See how we are ranking and how people are finding us
Feedback changes that need to be made to the web site. Ensure they are done
• Local Legends
- Research and contact local interesting, philanthropic, community focused local
people/independent businesses

Interview them, take head shots and other photographs within their environment
Edit the entry, photos, brightness/contrast/size

Once finished upload on our social media sites
• Sharing haus press coverage

Informing people that should know (Haus, people at events etc) share on our social
media sites


PR liaison
Stay in touch with PR firm – help them with photos, quotes, information and stories
Contact local press to let them know newsworthy stories
Keep any hard copies of press

Be nice to people, make people coffee/tea, make clients feel welcome, send people
funny stuff.
