I am a graduate in Interaction Design from the Interaction Design Institute Ivrea, Italy.
My background is in Visual Communication Design & Architecture. I believe that
Interaction Design is about designing desirable and useful experiences, products and
services. Coming from an interdisciplinary background with interest in designing rich
cultural experiences, I have been extending my understanding of human centered design
by getting exposure to user experience design, user product interactions both onscreen
and physical, use case scenarios and contextual inquiries.
Prior to Interaction Ivrea, I have worked for over three years on user experience design
and information interaction design projects for various online applications, user
interfaces, products, identities and streaming media services. I am presently looking for a
job opportunity to gain invaluable experience in information and product interaction
design by bringing my experience, interaction design and visual communication skills to
the fore.
Work experience:
Worked for three years mainly in the fields of Interaction Design, Information and
Interface design for Web and Print.
Interaction Design Intern
Halmstad University, Halmstad, Sweden

Worked on research projects at Halmstad University’s Research Lab, here I was able
to hone my Interaction Design skills by working with both able and disabled kids,
so as to fill the gap in the experience of kids with disabilities. In the process we
conceived and planned a strong basis for the organization’s future projects.

Jalva Media is a rich media solutions and streaming media content provider.
Here I was instrumental in setting up the design process for this start-up.
Created workflows and user interfaces for JUMPS, an application aimed at automating
the digitization process of media assets at Jalva’s facilities in San Francisco.
Designed corporate identities, worked on streaming video enabled demonstrations
and websites for clients like Panasonic, IP Capital Partners, Trade Attache and
Uttaranchal Tourism.

With Rediff.com, India’s leading information portal and e-commerce solutions firm,
I designed interfaces for on-line products, conceptualized and executed websites for
clients like Orange, VIP-bags, Rediffusion DY&R, Bombay Stores and Nike’s online
store.

Skills:
Interaction Design:
Familiar with focus group tests, contextual inquiries, distilling user observations /
feedback and incorporating them into working prototypes and specifications. Skilled at quick
and effective physical prototypes, to fully functional Flash or HTML proof-of-concept
models, conceptualization, representation, visualization and sketching.
Information Design for Web and Print:
Extensive experience with practicing information design, visual communication design
and managing design work across print and web. Excellent working knowledge of
Freehand, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, Dreamweaver, Flash and Director. Good
understanding of HTML and Javascript from the user interface and user experience
perspective.
