What is the Richland One Middle College?
The Richland One Middle College (ROMC) at Midlands Technical College (MTC) is an award
winning school of choice that offers 11th and 12th grade students an opportunity to attend
high school on a college campus. The school is designed to provide students a high tech
education in a small learning environment. Through innovative approaches, such as the
opportunity to earn a two-year degree for free, paid internships, and free laptops, students
can successfully complete high school prepared for a successful life after high school.

The primary goal of ROMC is to provide students with a seamless transition from high school
to their post-secondary pursuits: two-year/community/technical college, 4-year
college/university, military, or the workforce.

Where is ROMC located, and what are the hours?
ROMC is located at Midlands Technical College on the Beltline Campus. The main office is
in Richland Hall, Room 131, and the office hours are Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m.
to 5:30 p.m.
The core classes are scheduled from 11:00 am to 5:25 pm (Monday through Friday).
According to an Individual Graduation Plan, students will be able to participate in other
educational activities (MTC college/Heyward Career & Technology/SC Virtual School
courses, paid internships, community service learning).

Students must complete and submit the Richland One Middle College Application.

ROMC has a capacity for a total of 150 - 11th and 12th graders.

A lottery process will be implemented, and a waiting list created.

How much does it cost?
Richland One Middle College is a public high school. There is no tuition cost to students.
