LEPROSY
ERADICATION
PROGRAM (NLEP)
Conducted 5 days Training Course on Leprosy for
DLO/BMO conducted at this Institute during the
period from 7-11 January 2013.
Imparted one week internship training in Leprosy to
Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Medical College
(Government Medical College), Raipur- 4 BPT
students has been imparted training.

SYSTEM (HMIS)
Dr. S.V. Gitte, Dy. Dir. (Epid.) delivered lecture on
HMIS indicators and its importance in Public Health
to 1st batch of training organized by State Institute of
Health and Family Welfare, Raipur (C.G.) on 18
January 2013 in which 77 Nos. of trainees attended
the training program
Dr. S.V. Gitte, Dy. Dir. (Epid.) delivered lecture on
HMIS indicators to 2nd batch of training organized by
State Institute of Health and Family Welfare, Raipur
(C.G.) on 21 January 2013 in which 78 Nos. of
trainees attended the training program.
Dr. S.V. Gitte, Dy. Dir. (Epid.) delivered lecture on
HMIS indicators and its importance in Public Health
to 3rd batch of training organized by State Institute of
Health and Family Welfare, Raipur (C.G.) on 24
January 2013.

HMIS indicators, its uses and interpretation to 4th
batch of training organized by State Institute of
Health and Family Welfare, Raipur (C.G.) on 30

Study on endemicity of Leprosy and This office is undertaking an Indian Council of Medical
utilization of health services in selected areas Research (ICMR) funded study on the Endemicity of Leprosy
of Chhattisgarh – Mahasamund district
and utilization of health services in the selected areas of

Research Studies undertaken
Chhattisgarh (Mahasamund and Sarguja district). For the
study purpose, the staff of the project visited Mahasamund
District during the period from 8-11 January 2013 and
collected Samples of 6 patients. The team has collected 6 Nos.
of Slit sample, Patient area soil sample-30 Nos., Common
Drainage soil sample-18 Nos., Non Patient area soil sample-12
Nos., Patient area water sample-12 Nos., Common Drainage
water sample-18 Nos., for further laboratory investigation The
collected samples has been sent to JALMA for further
laboratory investigation and study
