Summary
Hardworking with excellent skills in software/hardware and their interactions. Experienced
with network communications, network design and routing protocols. Built and architected
routers, both chassis and pizza-boxes. Competent and practiced presenter both in front of
customers and at conferences. Good problem solver. No task is too hard, yet failed to solve
any problem I’ve been assigned. Fast learner and teaches myself to solve problems if needed.
Works equally well alone or in team. Computers and data communication is both my personal
interest and work. Skilled manager, very good at managing highly competent people. Long

development.
PacketFront – System Engineer and
Research Manager
June 2008-April 2011t
SCRUM Product Owner for two of the development teams, one in Stockholm mainly working
on future solutions and products (GPON, L2 residential access) and one in Shanghai handling
the embedded operating system in PacketFronts routers/switches. Closely working with
Product Management, developers and the other in Systems Engineering to write the Product
Backlogs and driving the development of the products and the solutions forward.
PacketFront – Research Manager
June 2007-May 2008
Manages the Research Team with two people under me. Scans the market, vendors, trade
shows, product announcements etc for new and interesting technology that we evaluate and
potentially sends to Product Management for implementation. Chief architect of an ATCA
chassis based GPON router/access switch (sorry to say cancelled after 6 months of
development due to financial reasons).
PacketFront – Manager Systems Engineering
March 2005-May 2007
Managed the Systems Engineering team with four people under me; two in Stockholm, one in
London and one in Shanghai. Interface between Product Management and rest of R&D.
Clarified requirements, wrote implementation proposals, system solutions, whitepapers,
presentations, use cases etc. Evaluated vendors and hardware components, such as ASICs,
memories etc for new platforms. Followed standardization work in IETF, ITU-S15, DSL
Forum, MEF to be up to date on the latest market trends and requirements. I was the key
persons building the ASR5000 product, an successful NPU based access/edge router. I also
was responsible for selecting vendor and evaluation when developing the ASR10000 router.
Evaluated and selected CPU for the cost reduction of the CPS200/300 CPE switch. Been part
of many COST reduction projects for products such as ASR4000, ASR5000, CPE.
PacketFront – Product Manager Engineer
March 2004 – February 2005
Collected requirements, both internally and from customers. Identified use cases. Clarified
requirements and scoped implementations. Worked with both Embedded
Systems/Networking and Management systems, including High-Availability products.
Xelerated- Senior System Engineer
March 2001-February 2004
Designed and developed the fast path code in the X10 Network Processor for bridging, IPv4,
IPv6 and MPLS protocols, using PISC assembly language.
Designed protocol specifications between fast path and slow path. Designed APIs controlling
the Network Processor such as boot, configuration, application load, TCAM/SRAM
management, and the fast path processing in the control plane, closely following relevant
forums such as IETF and Network Processor Forum.
Created both internal and external documentation such as “implementation proposals” to the
ASIC team, “X10 NPU User guide”, “IPv4 and MPLS Application notes”, “IPv6 Service
Card” and targeted Application notes for customers.
Performed usability studies of the hardware verifying that the ASIC could be used to build
core, edge and metro routers. Screened surrounding chips that is needed to build systems such
as Switch Fabric, TCAM, SRAM and control plane processors.
Cisco US/San Jose, Senior Software Engineer
April 2000 – February 2001
Responsible for designing, developing, testing, maintaining, and documenting new features in
the IOS ISIS routing protocol. Responsible for reviewing code as well as both internal and
external documentation related to routing protocols. Assisted in mentoring new members in
the group. Followed, participated and contributed in IETF, NANOG and other relevant
seminars and forums.
Cisco Sweden, Consulting Engineer EMEA North
November 1999 – March 2000
Responsible for optical and core router technologies in the Nordic region targeting Service
Provider and major Enterprise market. Tested and implemented new products, both hardware
and software and was "the" focal point for these technologies in my area. Educated the
System Engineering sales force and customers via advanced workshops. Talked at major trade
shows and seminars. Some keywords: DWDM, SONET/SDH, ATM, POS, DPT/SRP, MPLS
(VPN) and all types of routing protocols such as ISIS, OSPF, BGP and PIM.
Cisco Sweden, System Engineer
November 1997 – October 1999

BGP routing policy and network security. Decision maker and member of the core staff
advising the board in technical questions. Routing: BGP, OSPF, ISIS, EIGRP, IGRP, and
RIP. IBM SNA configuration (SRB, SDLLC, DLSW, STUN), Multiprotocol IPX, OSI, X.25
tunneling. Wrote programs for management, installation, configuration control and statistics.
IBM Sweden. Network support
January 1992 - March 1994
