NOW UNDER ONE ROOF, CAVIST CORPORATION BUYS BUILDING
WITH HELP FROM NEVADA STATE DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
Reno, Nev. – The Cavist Corporation has united its sister companies Cavist Machines and Cavist
Manufacturing under one roof by purchasing a building at 9290 Prototype Drive in Reno, Nev., with
assistance from Nevada State Development Corporation (NSDC), the non-profit company that is
the largest SBA 504 loan provider in the State of Nevada.
The Cavist Corporation was incorporated in 1998 to bring Low Pressure Molding to the United
States. “Over time, we were leasing seven different units in Longley Business Park with each being
2,200 square feet,” said Reimer Hansen, president of Cavist Manufacturing. “Now we’re in one
building with 30,000 square feet.”
“A business like Cavist Corporation is important to Nevada,” said Brian Wallace, business
development officer for NSDC. “We were glad to assist the owners to obtain an approximately $2.5
million SBA loan package to buy the building. We partnered with US Bank to get it done.”
Cavist Manufacturing is now a full-service contract manufacturer for Low Pressure Molding.
Hansen explains that basically the company waterproofs fragile electronics in such industries as
medical, automotive, computer, etc. They have two different businesses. Cavist Manufacturing fills
customer requests for Cavist to mold on a contract basis. Cavist Machines sells machines that allow
businesses to do Low Pressure Molding in-house.
“We ship all over the world,” said Hansen. “We export half of the equipment that we build in
Reno.” Hansen‘s company is thrilled to be in a great location and under one roof to run their
successful business. The new facility is allowing them to consolidate the two companies, increase
manufacturing capacity and add personnel.
