Away up high in an apple tree, 5 red apples hung over me.
I shook that tree as hard as I could. Down came an apple. UM! It was good.

No more apples left up there. But more will grow before next year.

Five Valentines
I have five valentines for Valentine’s Day. I have five valentines I can give away.
The first is for mom, the second for dad. When they get them, they’ll be glad.
Grandma and grandpa, this third one’s for you. Now I am left with only two.
For my teacher at school I’ve saved number four. Now it’s time to give away one more.
This last valentine I’m going to send is for you, my very special friend.
I Built a Snowman
I built a snowman but he was all alone so I called up a friend on the telephone.
“I built a snowman. How about you? If we build another, we can have two.”
My friend came over and said to me, “I brought my brother. Now we can have three.”
My sister looked out the front door. Called out “I can build number four.”
Right about the, my father did arrive. He began to build number five.
Here are five snowmen we built today. Tomorrow when the sun comes out, they’ll melt away.
Lions
Five little lions all in a row. One ran away. Where did he go?
Four little lions left to play. One went home; he could not stay.
Three little lions chasing one another. One went into the jungle to find her mother.
Two little lions loudly roaring. One fell asleep and now he’s snoring.
One little lion without a friend, left to eat supper back at the den.
No little lions left today. Come back tomorrow and again we’ll play.

Mice
Five little mice on the pantry floor. This little mouse peeked behind the door.
This little mouse nibbled at the cake. This little mouse not a sound did make.
This little mouse took a bite of cheese. This little mouse heard the kitten sneeze.
“Ah-choo!” sneezed the kitten and “Squeak” they cried as they found a hole and ran inside.
Bee Bossa Nova
See the little busy bees flying along. Bzzzz! Singing their song.
It was a nice day bright and sunny. One bee left to get some honey.
A second bee left, then a third. Bzzzz! Is what I heard.
A fourth bee left, the fifth one too. There are no more bees singing for you.
Where are the bees? There were five. Listen. Bzzzz! They fly out of the hive.
Where Are the Bees
Here’s the beehive. Where are the bees? Hidden away, where nobody sees.
Watch and you will see them come out of the hive. 1,2,3,4,5 Bzzz Bzzz Bzzz Bzz Bzzz Bzzz.
I’ll catch them and keep them alive.
Lady Bug Rap
See my hand? What’s inside? One little ladybug with a place to hide.
There’s something else. What should I do? Peek inside. Look, there are two!
These little ladybugs are playing with me. Oops! There’s three!
Just when I’m thinking, “Can there be more?” I feel a little wiggle. Look, there are four!
Let’s wait and see if another will arrive. Hmm…yes! There’s five!
Relaxing Flowers
Five little flowers, standing in the sun. See there heads nodding, one by one?
Down, down, down comes the gentle rain and the five little flowers lift up their heads again.
We Will Have a New Friend
We will have a new friend in our family. All right! (2X)

Five Little Rabbits
Five little rabbits went hop, hop, hop. Children called out, “Stop, stop, stop!”
The first rabbit said, “Run, run, run!” The second rabbit laughed, “Fun, fun, fun!”
The third rabbit’s foot went thump, thump, thump. The fourth rabbit went jump, jump, jump.
The fifth rabbit came in creep, creep, creep.
The five rabbits yawned and went to sleep, sleep, sleep.

There were five little birdies sitting and sing, nothing more.
One decided to leave. Then, there were four.

Five Little Pumpkins
Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate. The first one said, “Oh my, it’s getting late!”
The second one said, “Let’s have some fun!” The third one said, “Let’s run and run and run!”
The fourth one said, “There are voices in the air!” The fifth one said, “Let’s get out of here!”
Then swish went the wind and out went the light and the five little pumpkins rolled out of sight.

Five Cute, Roly-poly Puppies
Five cute, roly-poly puppies were playing on the floor
One went outside and then there were four

One sad, roly-poly puppy was looking for a friend.
The four came in from outside and there were five puppies again!
Five Little Monkeys
Five little monkeys jumping on the bed. One fell off and bumped his head.
Mama called the doctor and the doctor said, “Keep those monkeys off the bed!!”
