Dear Parents
Comenius Project
We recently had our visitors from Germany and Ireland to visit. Once again they were
made very welcome by everyone here. I must say a great big thank you to all the
parents who hosted the children and made them so very welcome. Also, all the
parents who transported, supported the school, provide packed lunches and meals.
Without your help and support, in the ways you did, it would not have been the
success it was. I do hope that the children will remain in touch with the boys and have
the opportunity as a family to visit Killarney. I know they will make you very welcome.
Boys Cricket
We were fortunate to represent the Uttlesford cluster of school in the recent finals at
Brentwood. The boys played superbly and won 4 of their 6 games. A truly fantastic
effort and something they should be very proud of. Well done to them all and to Mr
Brown and the adults who transported and supported them on the day. Thank you
from the school.
District Athletics
On the same day the district athletics events were held and I am delighted to say that
the team won the event. This is the first time for a number of years. There were many
superb performances but the team run, threw and jumped to a final victory. I know that
Mr Brown was very proud of them on the day and the support they were given was
superb. I would like to thank Mr Brown for all the effort he has put into this and all the
sports that we take part in, but of course we must all thank the athletes who gave their
best to ensuring that we won the event. Thank you and I know they enjoyed the day
and of course being the winners. A great team effort.
Farewell Mrs Snowdon
Mrs Snowdon will be leaving us at the end of this term. She will be sadly missed - she
has given a great deal to the school and we wish her the very best for the future. If
anyone is interested in this position, please contact the school office.
Going home at the end of the day
If your child is going home with someone other than yourself, or if there are changes
to their bus routine, please advise the class teacher in writing. Obviously there may
be emergency circumstances, which are unavoidable and a call to the school office is
necessary, but under normal circumstances a note should be sent in to the class
teacher. Please note, we cannot accept this information from the person who will be
collecting your child.
School Questionnaire
Thank you to all those who have taken the time to complete our questionnaire. We do
appreciate your feed-back. Could any remaining questionnaires please be returned to
the office by Monday, 30th June. Thank you.
