Scene #1 (At home: Evil Stepmother, Cinderella, Ugly Sister #1, Ugly Sister #2)
Narrator: It’s 7 a.m. and Cinderella’s family has just woken up. They are in the bedroom.
Evil Stepmother: (pauses, looks around) CINDERELLA!!
Cinderella: Yes, Stepmother?
Evil Stepmother: Come here and bring us breakfast! And give me my makeup while you're at it!
Cinderella: Yes, Stepmother. (Cinderella leaves to get the breakfast)
Ugly Sister #2: Good morning, Mum. Where is my breakfast? I’m hungry.
Ugly Sister #1: Have you heard about the big ball the King is throwing for Prince Charming’s birthday?
Everyone will be there! The prince wants to have a birthday party like any person of the kingdome. To attend to
the party you only need to fill an online form
Ugly Sister #2: Can we go, Mum, please, can we? We’ve already been accepted, (she points to ugly sister 2).
Evil Stepmother: Of course we are going to the ball. My daughters are the most beautiful girls in the city.
Ugly Sister #1: I hope he picks me to be his date!
Ugly Sister #2: No, I hope he picks me!
Cinderella: (To stepmother) Here’s your breakfast. (To sister #1) Here’s your breakfast. (To sister #2) And
here is your breakfast. (Pauses, in a sheepish tone). May I go to the ball too?
Ugly Sister #1: You? You can’t…just beautiful girls are allowed to go and you are not as pretty as my
daughters. By the way…how do you suppose to send the form to get the invitation? Remember: You’re not
allowed to work on the computer!!.
Cinderella: please, just this time.
Evil Stepmother: (Laughing.) Of course you may go, Cinderella, IF you finish all your chores, and IF you help
your sisters get ready, and IF you can find some decent clothes to wear instead of those rags! ahhhh and…
(Cinderella sighs, puts the tray down in front of the sisters and leaves.)
Ugly Sister #1: The prince will think I am beautiful!
Ugly Sister #2: No, he'll be amazed by my beautiful silky hair!
Evil Stepmother: Don't be silly; the prince is known for liking older women like me! (Pointing at her hair).
Ugly Sister #1 and #2: Mom!!!!

Scene #2 (At the Beauty Shop. Ugly sister #1, Cinderella, Ugly sister #2, Hairdresser,
Prince)
Narrator: (At the beauty shop, Cinderella is very busy making up ugly sister one and putting nail polish to ugly
sister two)
Ugly sister #1: Hurry up Cinderella!! I don’t have the whole day.
Cinderella: I’m doing my best, you’ll be ready soon.
Ugly sister #1: Of course I will be ready soon, because if I’m not ready in 5 minutes you’ll be in troubles.
Ugly sister #2: Cinderella!!
Cinderella: I’ll be there in a minute.
Ugly sister #2: Come on, the polish will soon get dried.
Cinderella: Ok, I’m coming.
Narrator: (Suddenly, the stepmother appears.)
Stepmother: Are you ready girls?; we have to go and pick up our dresses.
Ugly sister #1: Yes mom.
Stepmother: (talking to Cinderella) and you have to clean this mess, then I want you to do your chores at home,
if you ever finish doing it on time; you may go to the ball, but honestly I don’t think you will ever make it.
Have fun!
Narrator: (The stepmother and the ugly sisters go out with and evil smile on their faces)
Cinderella: (crying) why are they so mean? Now I’ll never go to the ball.
Hairdresser: Oh honey, please don’t cry, we’ll find a way to take you to that ball.
Cinderella: But, how?! I haven’t even applied for it in the prince’s webpage.
Cashier: I have an idea. Use my computer.
Cinderella: Thank you very much. (She starts looking at the page, Cinderella gets very surprised. The prince is
on MSN, she gets a message from him)
Prince (chatting): Who are you? (Cinderella is about to answer him when the stepmother appears).
Stepmother: Oh! I forgot my keys,
Narrator: (Cinderella hides under the cashier’s desk. Fortunately, the stepmother hasn’t seen her. She goes out
and Cinderella stands up and answers the prince)
Cinderella: My name is……..
Prince (chatting): I guess you’re coming tonight, aren’t you?
Cinderella: Actually, I don’t think I’m going.
Prince: How not? You should. I didn’t even want to have this party, but you know, my dad...

Cinderella: don’t you like that kind of stuff?
Prince: Not so much, I´d rather go walking somewhere. I like to go out and walk around because by doing it I
can…
Cinderella: Clear your mind.
Prince: Exactly!! think about what you want to do. Everybody always tells me that it’s ridiculous to do simple
things like ‘to go for a walk’, but it’s just so relaxing. There are so many things that I’d like to do, but It seems
I’ve wasted so much time being a busy prince. Sometimes I’d like to …
Cinderella: Start all over?
Prince: Exactly!! Aren’t you really coming?
Cinderella: You won´t understand what I mean, but…I’ll try.
Prince: Please! I’d love to meet you, we have a lot to talk about. You’re so different to the other crazy girls.
Cinderella: Believe me, my lifestyle is a lot more different.
Prince: I do. Who wants to be just like other people?
Prince: Promise me that you’ll come tonight.
Cinderella: Ok, I’ll be there.
Narrator: (Cinderella turns off the computer, the hairdresser and the cashier appear)
Cinderella: Oh my god, what have I done?
Hairdresser: What’s the matter dear?
Cinderella: I’ve just told the prince that I’ll go to the ball.
Cashier: You’ve talked to the prince?
Cinderella: Well, actually we chatted… but, that’s not the point, the point is: what am I going to do now?!
Hairdresser: Don’t worry sweaty, I’ll do something really fabulous with your hair…It will look as shiny as a
star, and...I’ll put some make up on you.
Cinderella: Really?!
Cashier: Yeah, but don’t even mention it honey. Now, you have to go home… your stepmother said (imitating
her) “you have to finish your chores at home” (short laugh between Cinderella and the hairdresser) and I´ll find
the time to meet you.

Scene #3 (At home. Evil Stepmother, Ugly sister #1, Cinderella, Ugly sister #2, Paola,
Hairdresser)
Narrator: Cinderella’s evil stepmother and ugly stepsisters are getting dressed for the ball.
Evil Stepmother (Carlota): Where is my dress?
Ugly Sister #1: And my shoes?
Ugly Sister #2: And my purse?
Evil Stepmother: (angry, to Cinderella) Why can’t you find anything when I ask? you are so, (getting angry),
so (more angry) dah!
Cinderella: Your dress is there, mother (pointing at the dress). Please don’t bother me, I’m in the middle of…
Ugly Sister #1: where is my dress?!
Cinderella: right there! (She is about to get the dress).
Evil Stepmother: Be careful, dear. Don’t spoil them with you dirty hands.
Ugly Sister #1: Cinderella! you have to polish my new shoes.
Cinderella: Oh, yes, right away. (leaves the room)
Evil Stepmother: Ok, let’s go girls!! (happily) We don’t want to be late when the prince meets you both
Ugly Sister #2: Bye, Cinderella! Don't forget to sweep the kitchen and clean the bathroom!
Cinderella: (Cinderella picks up the broom, but begins crying to herself) Stupid fake family…I totally wish I
was at the ball…I really deserve to go…more than them.
(phone rings)
Cinderella: Hello?
Paola: Cinderella? Hi! is Carlota there?
Cinderella: no, but I can give you her your message if you want.
Paola: sure! Tell her I got her French perfume.
Cinderella: ok, I’ll let her know.
Paola: by the way, are you getting dressed for the ball?
Cinderella: I have to clean the bathroom and sweep the kitchen…
Paola: that’s so unfair sweetie! you are always working for Carlota…I think you really need a break!
Cinderella: well, so do I, but how can I take it? I’m stucked here with a lot of wok to do.

Paola: oh honey, that’s so sad…but…I think I Can do something about it.
Cinderella: what do you mean?
Paola: you are going to the ball after all sweetheart!
Cinderella: how can it be?
Paola: wait for me, I’ll be there in a couple of minutes.
Narrator: Paola arrives and helps Cinderella to get ready for the ball. She carries a big bag with a wonderful
surprise for her.
Cinderella: I don’t have a dress or something fancy to dress.
Paola: wait a minute! I have a something marvellous for you (she opens he bag and show Cinderella a dress)
Cinderella: Oh my god! it’s so beautiful! (she takes the dress out and starts dancing with it) thanks so much
Paola! I can’t believe it!
Paola: you don’t have to thank me Cinderella (she gets emotional)…Now, hurry up! you don’t want to be late,
do you?!
Cinderella: (Suddenly she looks worried and disappointed) What about my hair and the make- up?
(the ring bells, it is the hairdresser.)
Hairdresser: just on time, or not?
(Cinderella jumps, she is really happy)
Narrator: Paola and the hairdresser help Cinderella to get ready. They take her to the ball in Paola’s car.
They get there and Paola says:
Paola: (just her voice) Cinderella! I´ll pick you up at midnight, before your stepmother gets home! got it?
Cinderella: (just her voice) I´ll be punctual! thanks so much!
Scene #4 (At the ball. Queen, King, Prince, Cinderella)
Narrator: At the ball, the Queen and the King invite everyone to enjoy themselves. Everyone begins dancing
and having a good time.
Queen: The ball is on, please dance and play! (Couples begin dancing).
Narrator: Suddenly, Cinderella appears and the music stops.
Queen: (to the King): Who is that girl?
King: She is so nice and smart . . .

Prince: May I dance with you? Let’s start . . .
Narrator: The music begins again and everyone is dancing. Then they hear the clock strike 12. (Dong, dong,
dong, dong, dong, dong, dong, dong, dong, dong, dong, dong!
Cinderella: It’s midnight and I have to run. Good-bye, I really had a great fun!
Prince: I will miss you! I hope we will meet again…we have to! Please leave me your mo-bi-le…(he looks sad
and disappointed, Cinderella has gone).
Narrator: As she is running, she loses one of her shoes. The prince goes, picks it up, and looks at it. He decides
to keep it so that he can find this beautiful woman again later.
Scene #5 (At home: Evil Stepmother, Ugly sister #1, Ugly sister #2, 1st Herald, 2nd Herald
Cinderella,)
Narrator: The next day, Cinderella’s ugly sisters and stepmother are talking. Cinderella is sitting to the side.
Ugly Sister #1: A beautiful lady was at the ball. We really don’t know her at all.
Ugly Sister #2: (in a dreamy, wishing voice) she was ho-rri-ble…anyway…the Prince wants to marry her.
Evil Stepmother: But…(rumors) Wait a second…did you hear that noise? The King’s messengers?
Narrator: Two heralds (messengers) enter in the room.
1st Herald: Please, try on this glass shoe.
2nd Herald: (looking through the long list): We know you were at the ball.
Ugly Sister #1: (trying the shoe on) It’s too small.
Ugly Sister #2:(trying the shoe on) It’s small for me, too.
1st Herald: What about you? (Pointing Cinderella)
Evil Stepmother: But she didn’t go to the ball. She is Cinderella and that’s all!
Cinderella: I want to try it on, Mum.
Narrator: Cinderella tries on the shoe and everyone sees that it fits perfectly. They are very surprised.
Ugly Sister #1: How could you have been the beautiful woman at the ball?
Ugly Sister #2: How could you even have gone to the ball?
Stepmother: What has happened? The king was supposed to choose one of you! I’m ruined!
1st Herald: The Prince is waiting for you, as you know.
2nd Herald: Be quick, let’s go!
Cinderella: I am so happy today. I forgive all of you. Good-bye! (Cinderella leaves the room after the heralds,
waving goodbye to her family.)
Narrator: Cinderella and the prince lived happily ever after. She forgot about her ugly sisters and evil
stepmother and lived forever in the castle.
The end.
