11th Blechexpo – International Trade Fair for Sheet Metal Processing
5 to 8 November 2013, Stuttgart Exhibition Centre
915,000 Square Feet of Exhibition Floor Space at the
11th Blechexpo and 4th Schweisstec
New Dimensions for Blechexpo and Schweisstec with More Than 800
Exhibitors
Frickenhausen, 18 April 2013 – There’s still more than 6 months’ time before the
trade fair duo including the Blechexpo international trade fair for sheet metal
processing and the Schweisstec international trade fair for joining technology will
open its doors at the Stuttgart exhibition centre, but event promoters P. E. Schall
GmbH & Co. KG have already announced a “nearly full house”. More than 800
exhibitors from 30 countries have already registered and will occupy overall floor
space of more than 915,000 square feet. All in all, this means that halls 1, 3, 5
and 7, as well as 4, 6 and 8, will be fully occupied, thus assuring a compact trade
fair layout with optimised walking routes for the expert visitors. In the words of
project manager Monika Potthoff: “With our restructuring concept we forgo
allocation to the trade fair facility laid out in two primary rows. The new layout
allows for shorter walking distances, as well as for quick changes from one area
to another, i.e. from Blechexpo to the complementary Schweisstec. This is
advantageous for exhibitors and expert visitors alike, because visitors will be
able to distribute themselves more uniformly to the halls immediately as of the
entrance area, and exhibitors can expect just as many visitors, but probably not
with erratic peaks which certainly don’t help in making best use of one’s
consulting capacities.”

Press Release
Because, as mentioned above, the trade will not open for another 6 months on
the 5th of November (through the 8th of November, 2013), the promoters are
quite confident that the 1000 mark will be broken with regard to exhibitor
numbers in combination with Schweisstec and the new Coilex Technology Park.
The Coilex Technology Park deals with manufacturing equipment for the mass
production of electromechanical and mechatronic components directly from the
coil, for example transformer plates and wound products. A further new feature
which functions as an inexpensive one-time service for start-ups, newcomers and
technology companies is being provided in the form of a communal booth. In this
way, the promoters would like to provide companies who only have limited
marketing budgets with the opportunity of presenting their products and services
to international expert visitors.
The
Schweisstec
international
trade
fair
for
joining
technology
is
also
experiencing strong development. It will take place for the 4th time and will once
again be distinguished by an impressive array of international market leaders.
This is all the more remarkable due to the fact that the only noteworthy
competing event taking place this year will be held just a few weeks beforehand,
albeit in an entirely different setting. At any rate, Schweisstec has been able to
establish itself very well as a complementary technical event for the industry
sector, because it doesn’t deal with welding and cutting in an “isolated” fashion,
but rather integrates itself seamlessly into the process sequence for streamlined
sheet metal, profile and pipe processing. On the whole, offerings showcased by
the Blechexpo/Schweisstec trade fair duo are demonstrating undreamt-of
breadth and articulation, so that we can speak of a truly complete presentation
of current worldwide offerings for industrial sheet metal processing. The 120
newly recruited exhibitors from all over the world are certainly making a
contribution to this situation, who will present themselves to the visitors with
their
technologies,
products,
subsystems,
complete
systems
and
system
solutions.
