TENDER NOTICE – HEARING AIDS/OTHER ASSISTIVE LISTENING DEVICES

Sealed tenders are invited in two bid system (Technical Bid and Financial Bids) from reputed manufacturers/suppliers with proven track record for procurement of various types/categories of hearing aids

(Body level, Behind the Ear (BTE), In the Ear (ITE), In the Canal (ITC) and Complete in the Canal (CIC)/

Assistive Listening Device under ADIP scheme of the Government. of India, Ministry of Social Justice and

Empowerment, Department of Disability Affairs. The Rate Contract will be valid for two years from the date of the award or finalization of the next contract whichever is later.

and submitted alongwith

DD for Rs.1,000/-drawn in favor of Director, AYJNIHH payable at Mumbai.

Special Terms and Conditions of Tender

Tenderer should agree to the following special Terms and Conditions and reflect the same on their letter head wherever necessary . a) Tenderer should attach BIS certification for their products wherever applicable. b) Tenderer should have facilities for repair of hearing aids. An undertaking to the effect be furnished by the

tenderer. c) Tenderer should agree to allow usual inspection and check for operation upto 1% of the order or 1 piece,

whichever is more by the consignee before acceptable and payment. d) An undertaking of granting 24 months warranty against manufacturing defects should be furnished by the

tenderer. e) An undertaking to replace the hearing aids during warranty period if they are beyond repair should be

furnished by the tenderer. f) Facilities available for repairs of hearing aids including giving free service units to customers during the period

of repair under the warranty period should be indicted in the tender. g) For programmable digital hearing aid, a software compatible with the hearing aids need to be supplied alongwith programming cables and necessary training to the audiologist. h) An undertaking that, if successful, a Bank Guarantee to the tune of 10% of the value of the purchase order

will be furnished until the supplies completed as per purchase order. i) A certificate that 100% payment will be accepted only on actual delivery of the hearing aids to be furnished by the Tenderer. j) The ordered hearing aids should be dispatched to the consumer within 30days of receipt of the order. An

undertaking be furnished stating that that adequate stock of hearing aids would be maintained so as to

to execute the order. k) Tenderer willingness to accept the Fall Clause/ i.e if the price of the product quoted reduces during the period of the contract, the firm will pass on the benefit to the consumer from the date of such reduction should be submitted. l) An undertaking to supply at least 5% of the order placed as ‘loaning hearing aids’ to order placing agency for repairs at tenderer’s cost should be furnished by the tenderer. m) An undertaking to supply the hearing aids with all accessories should be submitted by the tenderer. n) Tenderer should agree to put an indelible stamp on the product, marked “ISSUED UNDER ADIP

SCHEME OF MINISTRY OF SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EMPOWERMENT, GOVT. OF INDIA,

NOT FOR SALE”.

The bidder should have their own manufacturing unit/agency. Proof to be enclosed in the Technical Bid.

Copy of PAN no. to be attached.

3. The applying firm must be registered with the Sales Tax/Value Added Tax and the supporting proof for

the same is to be attached.

4. Bidders should provide brief profile of their work experience for the last three years alongwith the relevant

samples of the similar work done earlier.

5. The tender received through fax/email or received late due to postal delay etc., will not be accepted. The parties have to ensure the receipt of bids well in time.

6. Technical and Financial bids to be submitted in separate sealed envelopes and put in another envelop

marked to the Director, AYJNIHH, Mumbai.

The materials should be delivered at AYJNIHH, Mumbai and any other centre as directed within India.

The total cost quoted should be inclusive of all taxes.

9. AYJNIHH reserves the right to accept/reject/select more than one Agency, and to annual the bidding

process of any or all bids at any time prior to award of contract without thereby incurring any liability to the affected bidders.

10. The tender will be appraised by committee formed by AYJNIHH.

11. AYJNIHH shall without prejudice to its other remedies under the contract, deduct from the contract price,

as Liquidated Damages a sum equivalent to 2.5% of the price of delayed Goods or unperformed services

for delay of each day until actual delivery or performance, up to a maximum deduction of 20% of the

contract price. Once the maximum is reached AYJNIHH may consider termination of the contract and can forfeit the Performance Guarantee amount.

12. The Financial bids of suppliers who are not qualified technically will be returned unopened.

13. The payment will be made within thirty working days after the supply is made satisfactorily.

14. The successful bidder will be required to execute a performance security of ten percent of the value of the purchase order in form of fixed deposit with bank with lien made until the purchase order is fully completed.

15. In case of not depositing or showing inefficiency to deposit the performance security after successfully qualifying, the rate contract will be treated as cancelled.
