Companies to elevate technology education with joint offer of
comprehensive, hands-on training classes
Santa Clara, Calif. and Phoenix, AZ, March 16, 2004 — Computer Access Technology

company, today announced an integrated training offering with dashcourses Inc., a leader in
technical training solutions. Together, the companies will deliver open enrollment, hands-on
training on InfiniBand®, iSCSI, PCI Express™, SAS, SATA, SCSI, and USB at the CATC
headquarters in Santa Clara.

The courses will be presented by dashcourses and are directed at engineers and
developers. Classes will be held at CATC’s offices in Santa Clara, CA or on-site at customers’
facilities worldwide, and generally run two to three days – featuring demos and hands-on lab
exercises. During the lab sessions, participants will use state-of-the-art CATC expert protocol
analyzer and exerciser products to perform analysis and debugging of live devices and systems.
Students will create live networks and record, analyze, and debug packet-level traffic while

receiving in-depth training on the latest protocol architecture. The first class will focus on USB
architecture and is scheduled to start April 28th.

Attached SCSI (SAS) protocol analyzer and exerciser, and SATracer/Trainer™ Serial ATA
protocol analyzer and traffic generator. All products are based on CATC’s modular Universal
Protocol Analyzer System™ (UPAS™) and utilize the powerful CATC Trace™ expert analysis
software system for decoding and analyzing traffic.
