OVERVIEW
From John Pemberton and Asa Candler (Cofounders of The Coca-Cola Company) to Booker T.
Washington (Founder, National Business League) to Herman J Russell (Founder, HJR Russell &
Associates) to Arthur Blank and Bernie Marcus (Cofounders of Home Depot) to Truett Cathy
(Founder of Chic-fil-A) to Rodney Sampson (Founder, Multicast Media Networks &
Streamingfaith.com) to Paul Judge (Chairman of Pindrop and Paul Judge Ventures), Joan Lyman
(Founder of Secure Works and Lyman Capital Management) and Sig Mosley (Founder, Mosley
Ventures), Atlanta and its neighboring cities have always produced great innovators, entrepreneurs
and investors. With recent acquisitions of The New York Stock Exchange by Atlanta’s Intercontinental
Exchange (Jeff Sprecher, Founder, Chairman & CEO), Atlanta is positioned again to be the global
gateway to the world’s innovative and alternative capital markets. With the 2011 creation and
adoption of Georgia’s Invest Georgia Exemption (IGE) by Attorney Vincent Russo and Secretary of
State Brian Kemp, respectively; and the 2012 signing of the Jumpstart Our Business Startups (JOBS)
Act by President Barack Obama and, our city, state and nation via crowdfunding are positioned to
democratize and emancipate the capital markets so that all citizens and stakeholders will have early
access and the opportunity to create wealth.
To this end, Kingonomics, Opportunity Hub and Digit have partnered to create the first Ten
Thousand Innovators, Entrepreneurs & Investors Conference & Expo, Saturday, February 21st
and 22nd, 2015. Free for all existing and aspiring inventors, entrepreneurs, small business owners and
investors of all ages and stages, this “Entrepreneurship Weekend” aims to attract 10,000 attendees
over a 2-day period to New Birth in Lithonia, GA. Preferred seating will be available.

WEALTH MONTH
February 2015 is the world’s first #WealthMonth. Inspired by Kingonomics, the best selling book and
large scale conference inspired by the economic ideals of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. as interpreted
and activated through the lens of serial entrepreneur, angel investor, advisor, author and consecrated
bishop, Rodney Sampson, Kingonomics Wealth Month was created to disrupt the mindset and reality
of poverty by closing the global wealth gap via exposure, education, engagement, equity, parity and
access to opportunities in innovation, entrepreneurship and investment.
Highlighted programming includes a legislative hearing on Georgia’s Angel Investor Tax Credit at the
State Capital, The Diaspora Day of Civic Hacking, a Global Civic Hackathon, The Young Leaders
Conference with The World Affairs Council of Atlanta, NEYO’s Compound Foundation Youth Town
Hall Meeting, @SproutUpTreps with Teen Entrepreneur, Jaylen Bledsoe, Goodie Hackathon at
Google, and a HBCU (Historically Black College & University) Start Up Day with the Small Business
Administration.
Additionally, OHUB will open up its monthly programming to the public which includes daily
introductory classes on starting a business, curated 1-on-1 conversations with active angel investors,
lenders and venture capitalists, a 1 day intensive startup accelerator with TiE (The Indus
Entrepreneurs) and industry specific meet-ups, pop-ups and networking events. OHUB programming
features over fifty experts and mentors in residence - all committed and dedicated to closing the
wealth gap in America and beyond by presenting innovative tools for saving money, teaching
everyday citizens to start and scale growth oriented businesses and creating a pipeline of small, large
and institutional investors and stakeholders.
All of Opportunity Hub and Kingonomics’ events in February are free and open to the public. Early
registration is advised as most events and classes will fill up fast.
Register for all events at www.wealthmonth.com or use the events calendar at
www.opportunityhub.co/events.
FEATURED INITIATIVE
Challenge
Access to opportunity, particularly within the technology and investment ecosystem, isn’t always
created equal.
According to a recent USA Today article on June 26, 2014 by Jessica Guynn and Elizabeth Weise,
the technology industry’s predominantly white and Asian male workforce is in danger of losing touch
with the diverse nation – and world – that forms its customer base. Recently released numbers from
some of the largest and most powerful companies confirm what many had suspected: Blacks and
Hispanics are largely absent, and women are underrepresented in Silicon Valley – from giant
companies to startup-ups to angel investors to venture capital firms.
Solution
During #WealthMonth and throughout March, Opportunity Hub, the nation's largest minority owned
multi-campus coworking space, entrepreneurship school and incubator and Digit, a silicon valley
venture backed financial technology company that helps people automatically and intelligently save
money without thinking about it, and are partnering to raise $500,000 to increase its code school
scholarships with The Iron Yard and to make more investment in startups that have under
represented minorities (URMs) as cofounders.
To accomplish this, Digit will contribute five ($5) dollars to OHUB for every new user that joins its free
service via this initiative during Wealth Month.
Opportunity Hub is asking its members, extended ecosystem, stakeholders, partners, supporters and
beyond to join this cause by signing up for Digit’s free service and encouraging their respective
networks to do the same. Digit is free to all.
Outcomes
The money will be used to create 50 new developer jobs via a match program with The Iron Yard,
which will contribute more than $2,500,000/year in new income to the economy and community; and
allow Opportunity Hub to invest in 10-15 high growth startups that have completed its pre-accelerator
incubator program and have been certified as “fundable” and “investable”. These companies will then
be pipelined to partnering accelerators, incubators, angel investors and ventures funds at the
appropriate time.
Campaign supports also benefits from the crowd-rallying initiative as they will begin to automatically
and intelligently save money in a FDIC insured account via Digit's technology platform. Everyone wins
with this #Save #Code #Invest initiative.
ABOUT OPPORTUNITY HUB
Opportunity Hub (OHUB), www.opportunityhub.co, is a multi-campus coworking space,
entrepreneurship school, pre-accelerator and incubator. OHUB's definitive mission is to innovate,
start and scale high growth companies by providing access to collaborative work spaces, authentic
mentorship, full immersive classes, innovative practices, essential resources, meaningful connections
and smart capital - in sectors such as technology, consumer products, Internet of things, supply chain
innovation and social impact.
Created with the idea of an early stage and startup company in mind, OHUB is for anyone that is
serious about working in an environment of like-minded entrepreneurs and committed to learning,
implementing and sharing the knowledge, best practices and relationships formed while in our
ecosystem.
OHUB curates and offers over 30 introductory classes, meet-ups and partner lunch-and-learns on a
monthly basis. In addition, general educational programming includes business model generation,
customer discovery, entrepreneurial fundamentals and access to capital. Industry specific cohorts, a
pre-accelerator and code school are also available. A formal accelerator program, venture fund and
funding pipeline are being ideated and created.
ABOUT KINGONOMICS
Based on the best selling book inspired by the economic ideals of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. as
interpreted through the lens of serial entrepreneur, investor, author and consecrated bishop, Rodney
Sampson, Kingonomics, www.kingonomics.com is the definitive social impact platform providing
access to expert knowledge and expert practitioners in innovation, entrepreneurship and investment.
The definitive mission of Kingonomics is to facilitate an economic and institutional platform designed
to address poverty and the wealth gap via the efficient use of existing and new knowledge and best
practices for innovation, entrepreneurship and investment.
This is accomplished by creating an efficient ecosystem of interconnected experts, firms, research
centers, universities, thought leaders, economists, incubators, entrepreneurs, investors and
advisors that are presented via Kingonomics large scale conferences, intensive trainings, learning
programs, courses, curriculum and certification. Kingonomics launched #WealthMonth in February
2015.
MEDIA QUOTES
“With the average net worth of a person of color (black and brown) in America less than $8,000, it is
imperative that we provide a platform for exposure, education and engagement with the innovation,
entrepreneurship and investment ecosystem now. Only then can we close the wealth gap and create
equity and parity for all,” Rodney Sampson, Founder & CEO, Opportunity Hub.
“Wealth Month will change the economic trajectory of Atlanta, surrounding cities, counties, our nation
and world,” Rodney Sampson, an Angel Investor and Founder of Opportunity Hub.
“We’re asking 100 business groups, trade associations, non-profits, faith and neighborhood groups to
register at least 100 existing or aspiring small business owners to come together on Saturday,
February 21st, 2015 for The Ten Thousand Innovators, Entrepreneurs and Investor Conference &
Expo,” Rodney Sampson, Founder & CEO, Opportunity Hub.
