COURSE INFORMATION FOR ERASMUS STUDENTS
This is the FULL LIST of courses provided by the Psychology Department, University
of Crete. The list does not identify courses offered in any given semester or in any given
Academic Year. For detailed information about the Per Semester Courses of the semester
you are interested to attend, you should consult the Information provided by the Department
in given dates before the start of each semester.
The list of courses comprises of: Required courses (courses that the native students have
to exhaust in order to compete their studies), Elective courses (a list of courses from which
students can select courses), Seminars and Laboratories (advanced level courses). The
courses are arranged around seven (7) cycles: 1st: Fundamental Principles of Psychology,
2nd: Methodology / Statistics, 3rd: Developmental Psychology / Educational & School
Psychology, 4th: Biological Psychology / Neurosciences, 5th: Social Psychology / Forensic
Psychology, 6th: Clinical Psychology / Health Psychology / Counselling Psychology, 7th:
Miscellaneous
All Courses include a 3hr lecture/seminar/laboratory session once a week. Compulsory
and Elective courses account for 4 ECTS credits. Seminar and Laboratory courses account
for 6 ECTS credits as they involve extra time.
