Abstract



This paper provides the instructions for the preparation of papers for submission to ITW 2006 and relevant style file that produced this page.

(

I. I NTRODUCTION

The 2006 IEEE Information Theory Workshop will be held at Chengdu International Exhibition and Convention

Center in Chengdu, China, from Oct. 22 (Sunday), through Oct. 26 (Thursday), 2006.

II. SUBMISSION AND REVIEW PROCESS

Papers will be reviewed on the basis of a manuscript not exceeding five pages, two columns, main text font size no smaller than 10 points ) of sufficient detail to permit reasonable evaluation. The deadline for submission is June 1, 2006 , with notification of decisions by August 1, 2006 .

The deadline and five page limit will be strictly enforced.

In view of the large number of submissions expected, multiple submissions by the same author will receive especially stringent scrutiny. All accepted papers will be allowed for oral or poster presentation.

(IEEEtran.cls) and the LaTeX source

(ITW06_PaperExample.tex) that produced this page, and the Microsoft Word template (ITW06_PaperExample.doc) may be downloaded from the ITW 2006 web site.

Authors using other means to prepare their manuscripts should attempt to duplicate the style of this example as closely as possible.

The Abstract section should be no more than 250 words and should contain no math notation. If citations are required in the abstract, they should be self-contained, e.g. Shannon, Bell Syst. Tech. J. 1948, rather than [1]. The abstract will be published separately in the hardcopy book of abstracts. The style of references, e.g., [1], equations, figures, tables, etc., should be the same as for the IEEE

Transactions on Information Theory . The affiliation shown for authors should constitute a sufficient mailing address for persons who wish to write for more details about the paper.

III. P ROCEEDINGS

All papers accepted for oral and poster presentation will be published in the Workshop Proceedings by IEEE

Press (in both printing and CDROM forms). All the accepted papers will be included in the IEEEXplore online database and be indexed by Engineering Index

(Ei).

The deadline for the submission of the final camera-ready paper and the signed IEEE copyright form is September 1, 2006 . http://sist.swjtu.edu.cn/imc/itw06/ or its mirror site http://www.ee.cityu.edu.hk/~itw06/ for detailed instructions.
