Suddenly George said: “We has got to get a big stake together. I know a little
place we can get cheap, but they ain't give in away”, when I played the euchre. So I got it
so surprised, I turned slowly over and watched George carefully. At that time, Lennie
told George to talk about that place. George told us that place was 10 acres with many
things such as a kitchen, orchard, cherries and peaches.
And then, George stopped working with the cards and his voice was growing
warming. The next George talked about their house in that place. They all forgot I'm here
now because they fulled in love with it. So when I said: “ You know where's a place like
that?”,they both jumped as though they had been caught doing something reprehensible.
George was on guard immediately.
At the first, I think it's just a joke. But I realized they were conscientious
quickly, they said they need 600 dollars to buy it. I know I would be free quickly and I
decided to join them. Because I had 300 dollars in the bank and I ain't got no relatives
nor nothing so I could give my share to George and Lennie if I kick off, so they accepted
me finally. Then we all dropped in imagine.
And then this thing let me remembered many old things about myself and told
them the reason why my hand was hurt. And I was so regretted to kill the dog by other
people. At the same time, Curly, Slim and Carson came in, so we stopped.
