D. Details of Lustre Issue 53
Our Team: Interview – Stage Workers (Mr. Lau Ming Chak and Stage Worker Team)
(i) Purpose: To know more about the Stage Worker Team.
(ii)Content: Unlike other clubs and societies, the Stage Worker Team does not possess
its own board and open-to-all activities. Stage Workers are the unsung ones who
work for us. Through interviewing Mr. Lau Ming Chak and his Stage Worker Team,
we hope to know more about their work, their experience and their equipment,
revealing the mysterious side of Stage Workers.
Our People: Interview - “Travel, Experience, Share Study Project 2013” (Ms. Sally
Yip, 6E Ho Sum Yi, 6E Chan Fung Ming and 5E Zhao Wenhui)
(i) Purpose: To know more about the experience and realizations of Miss Yip Wai Han
Sally, Ho Sum Yi, Chan Fung Ming and Zhao Wenhui.
(ii) Content: Ms. Sally Yip and 3 students joined the programme “Travel, Experience,
Share Study Project 2013” organized by Wai Yin Association and travelled to Germany
in Summer 2013. Through interviewing them, we hope to know more about their
application procedures, difficulties encountered, travelling experience and
realizations after the splendid trip.
Cultural Plaza: Local Arts
(i) Purpose: To understand the latest development of local arts.
(ii) Content: Through interviewing Mr. Prian Wong and/or Mr. Chan Sai Lok as well as
visiting HK People’s Fringe Festival 2013 / the Cattle Depot Artist Village / Clockenflap
(Hong Kong’s Music & Arts Festival), we hope to introduce different local artworks
and artists to our readers, exposing them to this inspiring creative industry. We
would like to know how local artists and Visual Arts students struggle for their own
dreams, and understand the masterpieces created by them.
The Spotlight: Live as a Wa Yinger
(i) Purpose: To enhance the sense of belonging of readers towards school.
15
(ii) Content: As 2013 is the 100th Anniversary of Fat Shan Wa Ying, we would like to
mention about the history here in Hong Kong Wa Ying too. Since 1970s, there have
been various changes in Wa Yingers’ school life, from uniforms, lunch meals to
timetables etc.. We hope to present the historical changes of Wa Ying in the eyes of
students.
Issue: Secrets Pages
(i) Purpose: To analyze the phenomenon of the rise of Secrets Pages.
(ii)Content: Recently, there has been a rise of Secrets Pages, ranging from local
ordinary schools, elite schools to universities. Users post whatever they like
anonymously. Originally, these pages were set up for users to share their happiness
and experience. However, it turns out users slandering, bullying and complaining one
another. What causes the rise of Secrets Pages? What do Wa Yingers think about
these pages? What do the administrators think?
Jailbreak of Mind: Columns (in any form) – by Lustre Reporters and Photographers
+ Works from Readers
(i) Purpose: To provide a platform for Lustre Reporters and Photographers to share
their own creations and to enhance the interaction between Lustre and our readers.
(ii) Content: Lustre Reporters and Photographers are all creative and innovative with
lots of ideas. They are eager to share their works, in the form of running stories, book
reports, film reviews, comic pictures, photos and more, with our readers. This act
does not only realize our Lustre dream, but also brings newness to Lustre. On the
other hand, the section for the works from readers is kept for students to interflow
their brilliant works.
Game: Guessing Game - Childhood Photos of Teachers / Their Sons and Daughters
(i) Purpose: To enhance the interaction between teachers and students and to make
Lustre more appealing
(ii) Content: The relationship between Wa Ying teachers and students is often
described as friends. Through showing the childhood photos of teachers or their sons
and daughters for students to take a wild guess, we hope to boost students’ interest
in Lustre and reinforce the friendly relationship between Wa Ying teachers and
students.
