BSc Program
Major and Minor requirements
BSc students under catalogs from 2002 through 2008 may complete their major and minor according
to the requirements from the 2009-2010 catalog. This does not affect any other degree requirements
which are still based on the students’ catalog year.
The 30 credits required for the major/minor are redefined as follows:
For 2002, 2003 and 2004 students:
Major: 18 credits, as stated in the 2009 catalog, plus an additional 3 credits in the major. The
additional course can be any elective course in the major (or an Internship).
For 2005 and 2006 students:
Major: 18 credits, as stated in the 2009 catalog. Students must complete the Internship (or substitute),
which is a separate requirement.
A student will have 12 credits which can be used for a minor or as KIMEP-wide free electives if the
student does not choose a minor.
For 2007 and 2008 students:
Major: 18 credits, as stated in the 2009 catalog. Students must complete the Internship (or substitute),
which is a separate requirement.
Students are not required to declare a major. In this case students must complete 18 credits of 3000 or
4000 level courses (excluding required core courses), selected from any Bang College of Business
departments. (2002 to 2004 students need 21 credits since there is no Internship requirement)
Students are not required to have a minor. A student who does not have a minor must complete 9
credits of coursework. These are KIMEP-wide free electives.
Students from all catalog years (including 2009) may complete a major in Human Resource
Management based on the 2008 major requirements.
Students from the College of Social Sciences from any catalog year may complete a BCB minor based
on the 2009 catalog requirements.
