Toy Company Yomega Moves to Seekonk, MA; Names Todd Rywolt and
Chris Sullivan Co-Presidents
(SEEKONK, MA October 11, 2011) – Active Play toymaker Yomega has moved
its offices from Fall River to Seekonk MA, and named Todd Rywolt of Barrington
and Chris Sullivan of Warwick co-Presidents. In these new roles, Rywolt and
Sullivan will be responsible for all business operations of the company, a leader
in the worldwide yo-yo market.
“Yomega is very excited about our move to Seekonk,” said Len Amaral, who
owns the company along with his siblings Alan and Joyce Amaral. “We have
gotten a warm reception from the local business community and Chamber of
Commerce, and look forward to a long and successful experience here,” noted
Joyce. “We are also thrilled to appoint Todd and Chris as co-Presidents, to lead
Yomega in this important new chapter in the life of our company,” added Alan
Amaral. Rywolt brings over 20 years of marketing and product development experience to
Yomega. He spent 17 years with Hasbro as Vice President of Marketing and
Licensing, where he developed consumer and retail programs for top brands
including Beyblade, GI Joe, Star Wars, Nerf, Tonka and Pokémon. Prior to
Hasbro, Rywolt worked in brand management for Procter & Gamble, driving
marketing and promotional programs for the NyQuil and Vicks brands. “Todd’s
marketing experience, creativity and leadership have been invaluable in
restaging Yomega to be a leader in the yo-yo and active play toy segment,”
said Joyce. “His deep understanding of the industry, experience developing
innovative products and marketing some of the best brands in the world have
helped position us to grow for years to come.” Sullivan has over 17 years of progressive sales management experience in the
toy industry and joined Yomega as their National Sales Manager in 1998. In this
role he focused on building their domestic distribution by forming alliances with
some of the most well respected retail brands in the industry, while hiring and
training a national sales force of independent agents to the company’s business
at specialty toy stores. For the past 7 years Chris has worked as Yomega’s Sales
Director, responsible for overseeing their entire network of domestic and
international distributors. In this capacity, he has helped build Yomega into a
global brand with distribution on every continent in over 35 countries around the
world. Prior to joining Yomega, he was National Sales Manager for Go Fly A Kite,
helping them achieve international prominence as a leader in the leisure toy and
home decorative products industry. “For the past 12 years, Chris has been key to
building Yomega’s distribution network and driving sales. His expertise in the
field and in building sales programs have put the company in a very strong place
going forward,” said Alan. “He and Todd are the perfect partners to build the
Yomega brand and to help create the next major global yo-yo craze.”
