White Wines
Little Rascals, Pinot Grigio, 2012, Napa Valley, 13% Alc.,
GO, $5.00 This wine is sustainably grown by Jeff and
Rebecca Hill in their St. Helena winery that was established in
2011. The name alludes to their sons. Vinted and bottled at
the winery.
Hogue, Riesling, 2013, Columbia Valley, 12% Alc., TJ,
$7.00. This wine, with a residual sugar of 1.8 grams/100 ml
falls between medium dry and medium sweet. The sweetness
goes with a balanced medley of ripe apricots, tangerines and
peach flavors. Enjoy on its own or paired with spring rolls,
pork stir fry, seafood, or fish. Cellared and bottled by The
Hogue Cellars, Prosser, WA.
Chateau Ste. Michelle, Riesling, 2013, Columbia Valley,
11.5% Alc, Cco, $6.00. CFWA tasted a 2012 version of this
CSM Riesling in May 2014. It had 12% Alc. and cost $1.00
more. This vintage falls between medium dry and medium
sweet and is crafted to be refreshing and aromatic and to
show sweet lime and peach characters. Cellared and bottled
by Chateau Ste Michelle, Paterson and Woodinville, WA.
Cate, Sauvignon Blanc, 2013, Napa Valley, 13.5 % Alc.,
GO, $5.00. The 2013 vintage experienced steady winter rains
and a warm, dry summer. This ideal weather produced fruit
that is both elegant and balanced. The wine offers bright
young notes of grapefruit, kumquat and Meyer lemon, which
evolve to reveal well-integrated minerality. A delicate layer of
jasmine and gardenia accompanies the crisp finish. Vinted

Kirkland, Chardonnay, 2013, Sonoma County, 13.5% Alc.,
Cco, $7.00. An elegant wine with rich, ripe, fruit flavors. The
mid-palate has a wonderful zest coming from the grape's
natural acidity which provides a long multi-dimensional finish.
Apple, pear and orange citrus notes are surrounded by hints of
vanilla and spice from the subtle oak maturation. Vinted and
bottled by Grape and Grain Imports, Geyserville, CA
Roblar, Chardonnay, 2012, California, 13.5% Alc., GO,
$5.00. Fresh fruit aromas of apple, peach and lemon. Rich
palate with a finish of white peach and pineapple. Pairs with
grilled fish, corn on the cob and baked ham. Bottled by Roblar
Winery and Vineyards, Healdsburg, CA.

$5.00. The Perrin family has been growing grapes for over a
century. They use natural nutrients from compost made on
their own vineyards to produce healthy, balanced grapes
yielding quality wines of great character. Bottled by PF at
F84100, France.
Cottonwood, Pinot Noir, 2011, Willamette Valley, 12.7%
Alc., GO, $5.00. The father and son team of Phil and Aaron
Lieberman produce small lots of distinctive wines from grapes
grown in the Northwest. Produced and bottled by Cottonwood
Winery of Oregon, Cottage Grove, OR.
Reserve Lot 11, Old Vine Zinfandel, 2011, Dry Creek
Valley, 15% Alc., GO, $8.00 Aromas of black cherry and
blackberry are followed by licorice and raspberry on the palate.
Vinted and bottled by Sonoma Hill Vineyards, Napa, CA
Kirkland, Cabernet Sauvignon, 2013, California, 13.5%
Alc., Cco, $8.00 for 1.5 L. A classic CS with vibrant, juicy
flavors of black currant with broad, red fruit notes that linger on
the palate and are surrounded by hints of spice and sweet
smoke with a graceful finish of cherry and mocha. Cellared
and bottled by DC Flynt MW Selections, Modesto, CA.
Hart and McGarry, Cabernet Sauvignon, 2011, California
North Coast, 13.5% Alc., GO, $5.00. This California CS has
aromas & flavors of succulent black cherries and raspberries
with medium tannins and a supple finish. It pairs well with
grilled steak, beef stew & Coq au Vin. One of the great
pairings is CS with a rich chocolate tart. Vinted and bottled by
Hart & McGarry Vineyards, Napa, CA.
