Corporate council is chaired by the CEO and made up of senior leaders,
meets quarterly. Three regional councils are chaired by group presidents
and made up of senior leaders, meet quarterly.

DIVERSITY MISSION STATEMENT
It is the intent of the global diversity council to support the development
of an inclusive culture where all Caterpillar employees respect, value and
leverage the individual differences, experiences, thoughts and beliefs of
the Caterpillar global community as our competitive advantage. In order
to better serve an increasingly diverse, global marketplace, Caterpillar will
have diverse candidates available and considered for open positions.
In 2007, five executives were on the corporate council and spent an
average of 15 hours on diversity. Five employees were also on the
council.
