Frog Dissection Write Up – do in google docs and either print by the end of class or share with me by 9PM tonight!! Title: Make one up Put full header (name, date, period) at top left. PART ONE: Neatly type up full-­‐sentence answers for the questions labeled 1-­6 in the frog dissection packet (these should already be answered in your output). If you are unsure of any of the questions, USE THE INTERNET for some research. PART TWO: (use the internet for research) 1) How do frogs survive in the winter? (hint: what is torpor?) 2) How do frogs reproduce? (go into details) Is there competition? How? 3) Describe your frog’s teeth and tongue. What do frogs eat? How does this mouth help them consume? 4) Name three ways in which the frog’s larval or pollywog stage (tadpole) is different from the adult frog stage. 5) In the past 10 years there have been many reports of declines in amphibian populations and discoveries of mutated frogs. Describe several possible reasons for these declines. Why are frogs especially vulnerable to environmental problems?
