As stated in the HRSB Student Protection Policy D.007- “Any volunteer who may
have limited, regular, and direct contact or responsibility for students must
provide annually;

A complete Department of Community Services Form XIII-Child Abuse
Registry Check
And a Criminal records Check
This means that no child, regardless if they are friends of the family, may travel in
a vehicle or be coached or be in direct contact with an adult who does not have
these two forms completed and passed into the school in which they are
volunteering.
The criminal records checks can be done on-line or at your local RCMP
detachment for a fee at http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/cr-cj/fing-empr2-eng.htm .
The Child Abuse Registry form is attached to this letter, but can also be obtained
at the school where you are volunteering.
