IMPORTANT NOTICE regarding students who have COMPLETED an IGETC or CSU -GE Certification:
Students admitted and enrolled at ULV who have earned an associate degree at a regionally accredited California College with general education
requirement certification (IGETC or CSU‐GE) will be credited with fulfilling all of ULV’s General Education AREA requirements, but not ULV General
Education CORE requirements. All students who have completed 28 transferable units and plan to enroll at ULV before the Fall 2009 semester are
required to use Track II.
The following courses are approved for transfer towards fulfillment of general education (GE) AREA requirements at ULV
Please Note: Additional General Education CORE courses are required for graduation. With the exception of the Foreign
Language, World Civilization, and Culture requirement, the CORE courses are unique to the mission of the University of La
Verne and must be completed at ULV. Refer to the catalog www.ulv.edu for specific requirements.

PLEASE NOTE: The University of La Verne CORE requirements consist of a cluster of common courses which all students take once admitted and enrolled at ULV.
The courses will introduce students to the central values of the University as they are articulated in the Mission Statement. The number of CORE courses that a transfer
student will be required to enroll in is determined by the number of semester hours transferred at the time of matriculation according to the following guidelines:
Traditional students who transfer 28-59.99 semester hours must complete CORE 300, CORE 305, CORE 310, CORE
320, and CORE 340, and demonstrate proficiency in a foreign language equivalent to two semesters of college-level study.
Traditional students who transfer 60-91.99 semester hours must complete CORE 300, CORE 305, CORE 310, and either

requirements unless a grade of C- or better was received.
