University of Maine grants credit for
successful completion of Advanced
Placement and International
Baccalaureate coursework.
Advanced Placement
e University of Maine awards
credit for successful completion of
most AP exams according to the
Advanced Placement Credit Table.
Students should request copies of
their scores to be sent directly from
the Educational Testing Service
(ETS) in Princeton, New Jersey to
the Office of Student Records for
evaluation and awarding of transfer
credit.
International Baccalaureate
e University of Maine awards
credit to students who have earned
the International Baccalaureate
diploma and scored 5, 6, or 7 on the
higher level examinations. Credit is
granted through each dean’s office.
Grades and GPA do not transfer.
Official IB transcripts are required
and should be submitted as part of
the admission process or as soon as
they are available.
