SATEC’s other curriculum focus
is Environmental Studies.The
technology, science and social
studies departments teach Ministry of Education -approved
environmental curriculum expectations, while other departments use current environmental concerns as context for their
lessons. SATEC’s extended
schoolyard greening program
includes several naturalized
areas: a butterfly garden and
a pond. These outdoor classrooms provide a unique experience for the Toronto high school
student. We have also won
Platinum ECOschools status

waiste and energy conservation
at the school. Our school
community has an extensive
recyling program gram and has
adopted Warden Woods Park for

experience promotes sustainabl
practices and creates graduates
who are environmentally aware.
