1 CORINTHIANS 13:1-13 ESV

…Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant   or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;   it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.   Love bears all things, believes all things…

Loving others like God loves us is both a sign of our faith and a witness of how God loves

It is easy to love those near us, those that are “lovable”, those that are easy for us to identify with or associate with. Those like us.

Those who we have affection for.

  We all love those people.

Love is for all of God’s creation. We can’t be content to leave anything or anyone out.

Even the unlovable or the uneasy for us to know or associate with. Love never ends or fails.

For right now, until that all is complete, we have three things to do to lead us toward that consummation: Trust steadily in God, hope unswervingly, love extravagantly. And the best of the three is love.
