Further to our phone conversation earlier today I confirm that as someone in the middle of
connecting a 90 kw generator I have a question about the connection charges for embedded
generators in the medium term.
I specifically refer to the speculation that there will be a reduction in the grid connection
charges for future embedded generators arising from the ongoing connection charges
consultation. My concern is what mechanism will be available to those parties, like myself that
have already paid for what in effect will be substantially higher grid connection fees , to
clawback the significant cost differences.
I feel that the overwhelming demand for future generator connections has precipitated this
review and that the earlier movers and the extra financing associated with their connections
should not be overlooked in any new pricing agreement.
