Hot Topics: Cutting Edge Education Techniques
Infographics and Simulations are two new health
techniques that have recently gone viral. The two
examples below showcase the use of these
techniques in educating the public on the recent
measles outbreak.
This Infectious Disease and Vaccines infographic,
which illustrated how vaccines have significantly
reduced cases of contagious disease in the USA, was
tweeted by Bill Gates, to his 20 million followers, who
retweeted it thousands of times, making it the third
most population tweet of his nearly 200 tweets in the
past six months.
A simulation was also created and optimized for
mobile devices which help people visualize and
understand herd immunity in their own home. Check
it out here: Measles Simulator.
