2) Registering Process
As the registration period is for a whole week, students may experience one or two classes
offered during the week before officially enrolling courses. Students will receive course syllabi
during the first week, and are welcome to discuss with the lecturers in advance for more
detailed information. Students are recommended to first enroll all 18 credits during registration
period.
The most important thing in enrolling credits is to submit the registration form on time to the
OGA Global Service Center to be official. Having the courses down simply on the form or
sending emails with courses will not be accepted. Please remember that all courses will be
enrolled by submitting the hand-written form to the OGA Global Service Center.
Prior to submitting the form, please check to see that course numbers and class numbers are
correct.
3) Course Withdrawal
Students may withdraw from their enrolled courses during the given period of September 28 October 4 without penalty. Please keep in mind that students may not register for courses
during this period, and that students must maintain their minimum of 9 credits after withdrawal.
All students should withdraw courses online at http://portal.ewha.ac.kr/english/.
Course withdrawal period: May 1-6, 2013
Credit restriction: Must have a minimum of 9 credits after withdrawal
Online Withdrawal Only
4) Academic Records
Students will receive a letter grade ranging from A+ to F. A grade of “A” is given for excellent
performance; “B” for above average; “C” for average; “D” for minimally passing performance;
and “F” for failure. In addition, “+” and “-“ are used to further differentiate the student’s
performance with “+” indicating a superior performance in that letter grade, and “-“ indicating a
slightly weaker performance in that letter grade. Other grades include “P” (pass) and “S”
(success).
Attendance is also an important part of the grades for each course, and if a student
misses out on more than 1/6 of the total class hours, the student will automatically
receive a “F”.
The grade will become a part of your permanent record at Ewha. The university reserves the
9
right to ask any student to withdraw and to return to their home country if he or she fails to
maintain satisfactory academic standards or behavior stipulated by the university regulations
and the Korean laws.
5) Credit Transfer & Transcripts
Credits earned at Ewha can be transferred. Please consult with your study abroad advisor or
academic advisor at your home institution for regulations concerning credit transfer. The official
transcript will be sent to the home institution for exchange students, and to the home address
for visiting students.
Please make sure you notify the program coordinator of the address to which you need your
academic transcript sent (in the case it is different from the address to which the admission
packet was sent) before the semester ends.
Please note that no transcripts will be issued before all personal responsibilities - full payment of
all fees, dorm key return, books return - are cleared. Once everything gets cleared, the
transcripts will be sent towards the end of July 2013.

Student Activities at Ewha
Students are encouraged to both experience academics and participate in extra-curricular
activities at Ewha.
1) PEACE (Professional Ewhaians At Cultural Exchange) BUDDY
The PEACE Buddies will be the first Ewha students to greet international students to the Ewha
campus. The Buddies do numerous activities for international students, including airport pick-up,
Ewha campus tours, and cultural trips all around Seoul and Korea. As students of Ewha, they will
introduce student hang-out places and arrange special events, and help students take full
advantage of what Ewha and Korea has to offer.
Questions concerning everyday life at Ewha and other extra-curricular activities planned out by
the Buddies can be asked at: ewhapeacebuddy@gmail.com. Students will each receive an email
from their designated Buddy, heartily welcoming them to study at Ewha.
2) EKLES (Ewha Korean Language Education of Society)
EKLES, an Ewha student volunteer group teaching Korean to foreigners, invites international
students to a FREE Korean Language class. An email introducing the club and its activities for
the semester will be announced at the beginning of the semester.
3) Other University Clubs
University clubs offer students a chance to share a broad range of social, cultural, and
scholastic interests. They include the Theater Club, Ewha Chorus, several clubs providing
volunteer community services, and more than 65 other clubs.
