The New Era University
Special Education Program
for children with special
needs offers services for
young students of ages 3-21.
More specifically, it caters
to the needs of children with
mental retardation, learning
disabilities, autism, attention
deficit hyperactivity disorder,
and emotional and behavioral
disorders.
The program is anchored
on the philosophy of
normalization. This is the
systematic process of
providing children with
special needs the needed
training and opportunities
given to their regular
counterparts. Thus, the
program subscribes to
Inclusive Education in training
children with special needs.

Prevocational‭/ v‬ ocational skills preparation and
development involves training in occupational skills‭,
‬proper attitude and behavior that are important in work
situations‭. P
‬ ersonal and social skills will be developed
to allow them to interact better with peers and other

‬ tudents will undergo occupational skills and
interest inventory to be able to determine‭/ s‬ elect
appropriate vocational courses
