Public Announcement - South Australian Acquisition
The Directors of A J Baker & Sons Pty Ltd are pleased to announce the
conclusion of negotiations for the purchase of the South Australian based
business “Hill Equipment and Refrigeration Co Pty Ltd” (Herco). The
acquisition completes a ten year period of expansion by A J Baker & Sons P/L
from a solely Western Australian based Refrigeration Contracting Company to
one with a National presence in the Capital Cities of all five Mainland States.
The acquisition will become effective from 10th December 2013.
Hill Equipment and Refrigeration has been, like A J Baker and Sons, a family
owned business controlled for the past three decades by Keith Turner. Over
recent years Hill Equipment and Refrigeration has been managed by Keith’s
son Mark Turner and Mark will continue in this role as South Australian State
Manager.
This acquisition will greatly increase the influence of “Baker Refrigeration”
within the Australian Commercial Refrigeration Market, in addition to the
further opportunities that Hill Equipment and Refrigeration bring to the table
with their Catering and Defence products.
The above event combined with the strategies put in place by the Directors
and Senior Management over recent years will ensure the future growth and
development of the business as well as presenting a strengthened offer to all
of our customers.
