a short documentary and discussion on advertising and body image with CT's YWLP

CT's Young Women's Leadership Program will screen Killing Us Softly, a short
documentary that examines advertising's influence on body image. The YWLP will
follow with a short discussion on the relationship between advertising and broader
issues of culture, identity, racism and sexism.

as your workout. Using a blend of yoga, reflexology, guided meditation and massage,
you'll learn simple, super effective techniques that soothe the body and the mind.

to leave floating on a cloud...

Want to learn how to communicate more effectively with your partner? Dr. Jaimie
Burns from the Counseling Center will talk about helpful communication strategies,
how to become more aware of the importance of nonverbal communication,
differences between cultures and genders and self disclosure. She will wrap up with
an experiential exercise that will help convey the challenges involved in effective
communication.
