News
First of all, We are sorry for the cut off of our News Letter. This inconveniancy is due to the
Infrastructure and many changes that accured dureing the last period of 2013.
After having a successfulness with 3 dasy of training on CPR and First Aid,... from the staff of
LoSeCa Foundation; I am taking this Opportunity to Congrat Mrs. Jackie Pearson and
Mrs. Marie Gauvin for the amazing time that the staff member of the Brothers Of Charity
In different Institution dealling with people with disabilities and Mental Cases had with them
Not only our personnaires but also some staff members of other centers that are having the
same apostolate and mission like ours and that are surrounding Kigoma Town.
About 42 participants where actively present on this training that started from and they have enjoyed the experience,
skills,... from LoSeCa Foundation. On Our Side; Rev. Brother Venance K. Kalolo (former Regional Superior) in his
Introduction During the Opening activities; He really appreciated the Parternship that is now around a year Between
Bangwe Sheltered Home and LoSeCa Foundation.

At the end of the training; all participants receive Certificates of participation.

Omari Ntibazi; One of our client is still under traitment in GATAGARA / RWANDA for his legs. In October 2013; Rev.
Brother Venance and Rev. Brother Gerard Simpamagaye visited him and he presented to them a joyce of being there. He
has receive the 1st Operation and hopefully; he will recover soon and he can move by himself. We are united to him and
we pray for him.

In the beginning of October 2013; Rev. Brother Venance K. Kalolo receives a new mission As Novice master of Our
Brothers who are in formation in Nairobi !. This new apostolate Could start offficially from the 1st January 2014.
As a team member and representative of LoSeCa Foundation in Tanzania; we thank Brother Venance for the experiance
that has shared with us and the really help he did together with Rev. Brother Stan Goetschalckx to accept and to let build a
strong parternship with LoSeCa Foundation.
In remplacement; the region of the Brothers of Charity in Tanzania has a New Regional Superior “ Rev. Brother Gerard
Simpamagaye”; who is appointed to be a regional superior from the 1st of January 2014.
Let me Present you Rev. Brother Gerard Simpamagaye (fc).
Rev. Brother Gerard Simpamagaye was the former team member of the formation
house of the Brothers Of Charity in Nairobi before becoming the Regional Superior
of Kenya and Ethiopia.
With a new apostolic mission in Tanzania, He is the Regional Superior of Tanzania.
We are happy to have him and we are sure that things will go on positively and with
high improvement.

Later in October 2013, One of Our Clients;
Mr. Swahila Andrew
died after a long period of sickness.
He was suffering of Kidney.
Mr. Swhila died at the age of 32 years.
May his soul Rest In peace.
May he now enter God’s Kingdom.

From November 2013; Bangwe Sheltered Home receives more students Interns coming for practices. The students are
coming from different schools in Belgium and most of them are in special education department. We are happy that Our
Social Worker Miss Safina Emmanuel and Our Matron Mrs. Elisabeth Ladislaus can learn a lot from them.
As the Number is relevant; These students are devided in Two groups for a respective part time in our center. We wish
them a success in their field work.

In December 2013; Many activities have been on our program. Together with the Interns; we have organized many
activities and event and we could close the year 2013 in Happness with our Boys.
The 1st activity that has been organized is called “TALENT SHOW”.
the ideas comes from the team and the students on the fields to discover different talents that the children in Bangwe
Sheltered Home and the youngest ones in Maendeleo can have. On the menu: Music talent, dance, Singing,....

Mr. Hamidou (Our Client in Bangwe Sheltered Home) was the 1st
wenner in dancing and has received “Cup” and many gifts from Juges.

The second activity is a Match of Football between the Boys from Bangwe Sheltered Home and those from Maendeleo
Youth Center.

On the Christmas Time, The boys of Bangwe Sheltered Home where invited to Celebrate Emmanuel “God with us” in
Maendeleo, as it is on the culture of the Brothers Of Charity In Tanzania, On 25th December; all members, Friends clients,
… met in Maendeleo for celebrating the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

It was a good day for our boys where they have shared food, soft drinks, songs,….. with people from street in Kigoma
Town.
We closed the year 2013 with a special wishes from Bangwe Sheltered Home and that has been send to all of our friends,
brothers and sisters, volunteers and benefactors.
A new Year 2014 comes with a lot “To Do”. As, we always say; Together We Can.

In Bangwe Shelterd Home; with New Year 2014; we have 8 students interns who are doing their practice in Bangwe. We
We hope they will have a fruitful stay with us, that it may be a contribution to the development of our services in Bangwe
Sheltered Home , and that it may be a formative experience for their professional life.
We are with them for a period of 3 months.
Since 22rd February 2014; we have received a visit of the students from Saint Norbertus Institute / Antwerpen (Belgium)
I remember you that these students are the ones paying the salary for our Social Worker Miss Safina Emmanuel. We are
happy to be with them; On their schedule; after visiting, they are on duties as their internship in different hospitals in
Kigoma and also in Our Center of Bangwe Sheltered Home.

st
Of March 2014; a group of student from Newman High School called “The Samaritan” visited Bangwe
Sheltered Home. In their annual program; they have provide a gift for the children of Bangwe Sheltered Home; each child
have receive a cloth; and then they have helped to clean the place in Bangwe. We thank them for their way of taking care
of our boys in a most loving way by offering what they have as a gift.

Bro. Emmanuel Balagizi (One of Our Team Members ) has been called
for his last 2nd year of formation in Rwanda. We thank him for being together
as team member of our structure in Bangwe Sheltered Home Project.
We wish him a blessed time in Kigali and hopefully we will be
together with him in the coming years.
