mmerse yourself in experiential learning and spend the spring semester 2016 in Rome and Florence
with Santa Barbara City College! The SBCC Semester Abroad in Rome and Florence includes courses
in world history, art history, and Italian language.
While in Italy you will experience Italian culture through study, instruction, and immersion in daily

of art, and in Florence, the capital city of the Italian region of Tuscany, which is famous for its history
and which is considered the birthplace of the Renaissance. Visits to other notable cities in Italy are
included in the program.
The program is academic in nature, but it also provides you with the opportunity to make new friends,
become acquainted with Italy’s living history, and learn through direct experience with Italian language,
customs, and cuisine.
