A group of 20 enthusiastic
students from the John Cabot
Catholic SS “Green Team”
participated in this planting event.
Students planted 200 native trees
and shrubs along the riparian zone
of the Etobicoke Creek. This
vegetation provides a natural
filtration along the creek to help
prevent pollutants from entering
the water. Providing additional
green space will assist with future
carbon emission reduction.
