Tips for Effective Presentation Delivery
• Keep a conversational tone. Don’t read; don’t memorize.
Practice makes it easy.
• Make eye contact with everyone at least once.
• Express your enthusiasm without overdoing it.
• Practice in front of friends, family, or the mirror.
• Practice your speech out loud. Don’t just go over it in your
mind.
• Speak about 20% louder than you would in everyday
conversation.
• Come to the Communication Lab to practice and receive
feedback from speech tutors.
• Look up the pronunciation of words that you don’t know.
• Increase enunciation and pronunciation clarity by focusing
on speaking one word clearly before moving on to the next.
