engage and challenge students. Students interested in math, science and the human body will find the PLTW Biomedical Sciences program a great
introduction to numerous medical fields. It also teaches how the skills they learn are used in the biomedical sciences.
This sequence includes four courses: Principles of the Biomedical Sciences (implemented in 2008-2009), Human Body Systems (implementation in 20092010), Medical Interventions (implementation in 2010-2011) and Science Research (implementation in 2011-2012).
More information about the program can be found at http://www.pltw.org/Biomedical/biomedical.cfm
