Cosplay Guests
Abby Darkstar & Zendragon
Erin Lei
Abby started going to conventions
in costume around 2007/2008. She
started out as a theater major in college but when she switched majors,
she still needed a creative outlet. Costuming provided that. Through the
years she’s learned and is still learning a lot of techniques in order to bring the costumes and characters
she chooses to life. Along with her husband, Zendragon, who has been doing conventions since 2000, the
duo pull off some of the best double costume play
around.
Erin has only been cosplaying for a
short time but has found a passion
for it. Whether it’s assembling the
best pieces for a costume, crafting
props herself, or sewing, Erin has
found enjoyment in purely making her favorite characters her own. Erin is also
obsessed with reading books and comics, although
she claims her main fandom is food. Her hopes to
produce a Cosplay Cookbook aren’t too far away.
Besides representing her own brand, Red Star Cosplay, Erin Lei is also an official Geek Girl and personality for the entertainment site “Project-Nerd.”
Chloe Dykstra
Chloe Dykstra is a lover of many
things including cosplay, make-up,
dogs, space, baking and the paranormal, Chloe spends most of her time
writing, attempting to make obscure
references to failed viral videos, and
trash-talking noobs on Xbox Live.
Known most for her role in the Syfy original series,
Heroes of Cosplay, she also hosts a weekly show
called Pizza and Porn, and films her own silly weblog,
“Cool Story Chlo” on her Youtube channel.

Gaming
eBash Gaming Zone
eBash Video Game Centers is bringing their amazing
video game zone to this year’s Planet Comicon.
In 2014 eBash built complete LAN (Local Area Network) centers at conventions and held both fun and
competitive events for gamers of all skill levels. In
2015 they kick things off at Planet Comicon featuring
new games with new systems and they can’t wait to
meet all of the new players!
Tabletop Gaming
Tabletop gaming will be available in force at Planet Comicon.
Not only will the Gamer’s Haven
Game Library return to provide
access to hundreds of tabletop
board games and card games for
Planet Comicon attendees, but
scheduled events will be available courtesy of the Role-Player’s Guild of Kansas City and other volunteers.
Despite online preregistration, we’ll work as fast
as we can to allow any and all Planet Comicon attendees to sign up for events. You’ll be able to sign
up for events at Planet Comicon, just come by the
game room (3501 A-B) and we’ll get you sorted
out!
The highlight of this year’s gaming zone features
new Alienware X51 gaming computers. These will be
set-up for both hourly play and competitive events
throughout the weekend. If you want to join our local Minecraft server and jump into your favorite mods
such as the Hunger Games Mod we have that for you.
If you’re a League of Legends player and want to see
how you stack up in LAN competition, join into our
5v5 random matches.
eBash Gaming Zone Highlights:
• Racing simulators featuring Dirt 2 that are used
each year at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on
the infield for spectators
• Wii U casual and competitive events for Smash
Brothers and MarioKart
• PC game library available: League of Legends,
Hearthstone, Smite, Heroes of Newerth, Minecraft, Dota 2 and more....
• Unique Planet Comicon Trophies and Medals for
the top players
• Special in-game awards, skin codes and other
treats from publishers
You may pre-purchase passes to any of the special
events and even buy hourly passes early. These all
guarantee you a position for the times and let you skip
the lines waiting to enter during the convention.
NOTE: Competitive event space is limited. Passes at
the door are not guaranteed.

About Our Cover Artist: Daniel Spottwood
Daniel Spottswood is a cartoonist whose strip, Disquietville, has
appeared in self-published books and the Kansas City Star.
For the past few years, Spottswood has produced a line of illustrations featuring pop culture characters in a cartoony style reminiscent of the early Peanuts work of Charles Schulz. He has delved
deeply into the characters from Star Wars and Doctor Who. A
number of Spottswood’s illustrations were incorporated into the
cover of this booklet by our designer, Bryan Ward.
You can follow Spottswood’s work at danielspottswood.com and
danielspottswood.tumblr.com. His small press books and prints
are available at Planet Comicon in his Artists Alley booth (#24o).
Graphic designer Bryan Ward is also in Artists Alley (#2774).
