July 2014 Your Biz was presented by member Janette Oliver of Dance Mania
The impact dance had on my life began at the tender age of 18 months when my
brother taught me how to do the twist. I was always dancing as dance made me
happy. My mother enrolled me in formal dance classes at the age of four, learning
ballet, jazz ballet and tap. Although dance would come and go throughout my life,
it would find it’s way back and I would go on to own and run my own dance
business in 2002.
I have dabbled in Ballroom, Latin American and many other styles of dance. I now
also teach wedding dances choreographed specifically for the individual couple. I
cater to the student’s abilities including those with disabilities. I teach from my
heart and know that dance improves self worth, physical fitness, confidence and
so much more.
Through my classes I hope to encourage a sense of self worth and confidence in
oneself. I endeavour to develop a positive outlook in students fostering an
acceptance of all. Dance has been a savior for me in my life providing an
opportunity to find a light when only darkness prevailed.
Give me a call to find out how you can have some fun!

Message from Amy Roche, Marketing & Media Officer
Greetings & Farewell Ladies!
It's been a blast being the Marketing & Media Officer (MMO) for the past 3 years. When I
first started we were sending our newsletters as a PDF attachment, invoicing and
accepting EFT's for our events and breakfasts, had a totally different website and design.
It's lovely to reflect on how far we've come.
I'll miss hearing all of your insights "from the Editor" articles I wrote, and I hope you found
some of them interesting and informative.
Together our MMO team made some pretty big changes to our website, Meet our members directory, to our
social media, newsletters, created logo's and style guides for our publications and promotions and I'm very
thankful to Astrid Kuenne, Jennifer Stimmler, Tammy Roche and Sally Eberhart for all their assistance in the
past 3 years. Our constitution allows us to hold the same position for no more than 3 years, so my time is
up.
But...you won't get rid of me THAT easy! I'm running for the VPP position and you'll hear from me shortly on
that I'm sure.
Keep Achieving ladies!
Amy Roche
