Fancy some like-minded company?
Join a Planned Activity Group!
Using a Community Care bus, our staff gather participants
for the below activities.
Italian Groups
Our members are interested in retaining their Italian heritage. The
emphasis is on creating a forum where attendees can meet and freely
exchange views, recipes and experiences drawing from their heritage. Day
trips are the norm, as participants are entertained every second Monday
and Wednesday by visiting Italian retailers/groceries/small goods and fresh
produce outlets.
Golden Girls
This group of women has established many friendships and great rapport
over the 15 years they have met at Alvie Hall, Mount Waverley. You can
keep active within a friendly and fun environment by joining them over
Morning Tea, Bingo, Indoor bowls and other activities. In addition, there
are outings on the first Tuesday of each month.
Multicultural Groups
All groups have the opportunity to visit different destinations where they
will participate in inspiring and enriching cultural activities. Be moved and
appreciative as you come across many unique languages, performances,
arts and music. Learning and exploring different cultures helps bring new
ideas and perspectives. This group meets every second Wednesday.
Out and About
Meeting each fortnight on a Thursday, this group is very active in the
community. Attendees are independent and keen to travel around
Melbourne and its surrounds. If you like to engage with the Monash
community, join in and explore avenues to make new friendships and
be socially connected.
