Tining. As the resident chorale of Letran-Calamba, Tining
aims to inculcate among the Filipino audience a renewed
appreciation of our music traditions enriched by our
diverse cultures from north to south. One of its
repertoire is “Hitik”, a 45-minute a capella anthology of
Filipino folk and traditional songs with annotations.
Filipino musical instruments are also introduced through
audience participation.

Samu’t Sari. The theatre group has staged a series of
original play productions in the past six years, has twice
participated in the Tanghal National University Theater
Festival and has conducted theatre outreach programs in
various town in Laguna. For the project Duyan ng
Magiting, the theatre company shall conduct storytelling
sessions for Rizal Shrine promenaders. The narratives
are based on the stories about Rizal, stories that Rizal
loved to hear, and stories that Rizal would have told.

Kulbilt Bulilit.Children’s Rondalla Ensemble. The group
was organized in 2007 as a way of reviving rondalla
music that Filipino schoolchildren used to play. An
outstanding feature of our music heritage,rondalla
performances by schoolchildren is now a rare find,
especially in the province of Laguna. The group
composed of 30 grade school pupils from Letran-

Sitsiritsit Children’s Performing Arts Circle. Composed of
grade school pupils from Letran Calamba, the group
performed in February the theatre musical Ang Alamat
Ni Mariang Kalabasa- an original creation of multiawarded playwright based on the original work of
playwright-director-researcher Luis Sevilla. For the
project Duyan ng Magiting, Sitsiritsit will stage Nang Bata
Pa Si Pepe – a series of short performances based on the
anecdotes on Rizal’s childhood.
